Yes, SSS and bigger porting should flatten the curve and give more power at lower psi. Still, I don't think 10 shots within 5 fps at 200 fpe is doable even though it's a bottle gun. 5 shots within 10 fps is more like it and perhaps 20 shots within 30-40 fps.

its more then double you have over 700cc to work with, has two 500cc bottles so about 700cc of it will be usable. just has to be super efficient.

Seems I have some more time to put in.
It's a hobbie so all is good.

I may try a few things but I'm going to wait a little till I get a compressor.
This gun is a bottle killer when you work on it, heck I've got the big carbon fiber tank and it's goes fast when you let the air out and need to refill this gun.

I'm pretty sure the cf tanks from talon tunes will fit on the Hercules:)

$1250 for cost of gun+$180ish for each tank?
Hum? Puts this gun up pretty high on price.

Guess catch a midway sale on this gun or a refurbished sale.
That way you can buy the tanks and still be into the gun at an ok price.

Think I'll do this over time and I won't realize how much I have into my gun.

Wonder if the cf tanks can be had cheaper?

One thing puzzles me, you go trough all the trouble of getting new valve frames made but why go with two ports and a slot between. The flow dynamics are poor, you have all the twists and corners reducing effective flow and inducing turbulence.
Why not one port matching the transfer port on the frame?
At ag velocities port flow is critical, doesn't take much to loose much flow.
I have seen 50fpe difference by just polishing the transfer port and removing any sharp imperfections.

The new valve has 1 port lines up with transfer port.
The deep port grove was filled in (grove ports are in)

Factory valve has 4-5 (didn't count) ports.

I watched a YouTube vid with a guy getting 18 shots with his 35 cal.
But he was running 100ish fps below what my gun did factory.

He said his was a prototype? Guess hatsan put a bigger hammer spring in and called it a day.
Rest of it needs to match.

I've done
I have all transfers opened up.
Have valve port (1) lined up and opened.
Pellet probe trimmed down
Pellet probe body polished

I need to do
I need new valve seal...maybe peek.
Need stronger valve spring.
Might need to play with lift.

Have to get compressor!

Have not givin up, I've got some ideas on how to improve my gun and I have a new omega compressor with air dryer coming. I placed the order today so maybe I'll get it next week.

This will be nice having my own air.
With my brother's work and my work, meeting up to get him to fill up my tank can be difficult.

This will open up a lot more things I can do with my guns since I will not be worried about air.
I don't know about the rest of you but when I find myself running low on air and I'm not sure when I can get my tank filled......I shoot my guns a lot less than I would like.

Ok I think I've said something about the valve spring? It's pretty week, will not close valve when air tanks are empty.

Got 2 different springs and one is in the gun, will close now when tanks are empty.
If this one doesn't work out I'll put the bigger one in.

Chrono testing tomorrow I hope.

If I was just shooting pellets this gun is a little to hot now at blasting jsb's out at close to 1000fps
So I took the factory valve and plugged 4 out of the 5 valve ports, glob the jb wield on and left port that's aimed up smaller opening than my new valve.

See if I can bring the jsb pellets back down some. I can use other valve with slugs.

See how this does, keeping fingers crossed.

I do know a sure way to get es down on this gun.
I can buy a 30call barrel, I have a 30 cal pellet prob....if I just had a 30cal clip. (Both guns cal swap with each other)
Lol maybe I won't give up yet, next plan is playing with lift......

I could have avoided this and drilled out my barrel port last. And did small increase at a time
I'm not close to the 70ish% of bore.

Anyone else modding this 35 Hercules.

This was from full 3600psi to just over 100bar
So far no matter how fast or slow I make it shoot this is the shot string.

This is close to what factory looked like but factory started right at 900fps.

Going to try the stronger spring.

think I'm going to shoot some clips and see what happens. The noslers got better, maybe the jsb will also.

Still doesn't seem right to me. 145gr at 750fps is 170ish fpe?
Lots of air for so little.......and few shots.

Mine has a place in the valve block that really disrupts the air flow.
Not sure how to fix, poor design at best.

Air comes out of tank hits drilled out port and they drilled about 1/2 inch to deep...hole is rough, then air has to come backwards almost 1/2 inch and slip under the valve skirt to get in.

Maybe smooth that up and cut a hole/port in side skirt of valve to let air in valve more easy.

I'm done with this for now, just need to let head clear. I've accomplished nothing so far other than getting over 200fpe (1st shot or 2)with 100fps extreme spread on 9 shots. Bout the same Es with low power.

Guess for now I'll just shoot it and live with the 5-6 shots with noslers.

Got to do some shooting yesterday on my new spot.
Brother came out with his Hercules 30 cal and set up a table, I put my chrono on it and that gun does great. The regular mod's work on his gun and it was getting shot after shot with in 2-3 Es at certain fill.

1st 3-6 shots at full fill would be high but after that it's 10es or under till 150ish bar.
Just fill up shy of the first few over powered shots and you have a great string. 2-3 clips I think but I had my bt65 30 cal out and I was enjoying that.

Changed scopes out on it and sighted in at 50 yards then moved on to just nailing spray cans at 100 yards.

Anyone have a string on there 35 cal Hercules I could check out?

Learned that I could back off hammer spring a little more and still bolt on rear block/tank.

Found that I had some seals in the gun ripped up pretty well.
Dry fired 16 shots the other day and had more air left than shooting 9 shots before.

Going to chrono this (I'm NOT getting my hopes up again) will run some shots through chrono and see if it's better.

I'm no longer trying for max power out of this gun.
Jsb 35 cal pellet going 880-920 fps is plenty.

Be honest I've already givin up on this gun and my brother fixed the seals when I left it at his house with the hope he would keep it.

No don't give up now. Just check everything over, that it's smooth and no sharp edges.
Then is the hammer gliding easy, don't know the design but does it have slots to prevent vacuum forming behind the hammer durring shot?
Bob found out that it's pretty significant detail on some guns.

Lineup every port as accurate as possible, any steps in the path can cause severe turbulence and mess up the flow.

Nice to have compressor, it's pretty fun to just plug it in and have full bottles.

Same as always and ended 120 bars? I can't tell with gauge.
It will shoot the 145 gr noslers pretty well and it would be 750ish fps at this power. I have power all they way down.

To much has went wrong with this, guy who made valves got 1 off.
Brandon helped bend the other valve that was made well.

Running factory valve that I did a fast Jb weld and set screw job on, seal lets the 1 port be a little off now.
That seems not to have changed anything.

I did shoot just over a half inch groups at 50yards. Out of 9 I had 1 flyer that made group 3/4.

I no longer wish to tune a gun ever again.
I did have great success with.....

Bt 65 30 cal (stupid great gun!)
Brandon's Hercules 30 cal (high shots low es)
I put lots of tunes on my bt65 25 cal
Made a At44 22cal pump shoot well. (Worst barrel crown from factory I've seen yet) fixed.

Never did get my bt65 22 cal right but then again I really didn't try.

But from now on if it's past setting a hammer screw or changing a barrel or a seal I'm done.
I let someone else tune them. (Baxter comes to my mind 1st on hatsans)

Sorry for wasting everyone's time reading this thread.
Any one wanting to give this a try I'm thinking half price, I'm willing to take a huge loss so it will be gone and stop hurting my head so much.

And at beginning of this thread I said a few things out of the way. I apologized with pm. But I didn't to Carl. He made it sound like I was going to shoot animals and wound them with this gun, heck I've only shot paper targets this whole time and I rarely hunt with my other guns that are great shooters.
