I have a chance to buy a Diana 34 about 10 years old. The guy says the gun works real good. Wants $150. Is this a good deal? I apologize if I've posted this in the wrong place.

it would have to be in real good shape and shoot very accurate for 150$ being 10yrs old you know if its never been opened up it'll probly need rebuilt inside so add that to your cost.

IMHO its a OK deal. Should at least be guaranteed a German barrel and not a outsourced one.
On the other hand if it is just the gun with no scope or mount you could get this 34 Pro for $198 with scope and mount. Hope this helps Good luck

If it's 10 years old it doesn't have an outsourced barrel. It should have the TO1 trigger which many people prefer, especially after tweaking it some. If it's in excellent shape, it's not a bad deal, but I wouldn't break any land speed records trying to buy it. The link to the AoA deal Dustin provided (many say) is a good deal. It comes w/ a 3X9X40 AO airgun rated scope and a 1 piece mount.

Yes, it depends upon condition (same as everything used). While $150 might sound on the high side, try buying a ten year old 34 on the classifieds for $150, shipped. Seeing as how it's cash in hand, you ought to be able to haggle him down some. And do shoot it. If he says space is a limiting factor, take a nice, thick paperback and some wadcutters. They won't penetrate very far at all with the book on the floor and the muzzle an inch away. Can help tell you if the spring's broken, seal's kaput, etc. If he won't let you shoot it but insists it's good, lower the price. There's no excuse for not shooting it in the manner, above.
