Rules and Target for 50 Yard Benchrest Match

Scores and a scanned copy of target for this match are due October 23, 2016 by 10pm CST

2 Shots per bull for a possible 100 score. Touch the dot to score an X.

Rules: Anything goes as long as it's off the bench or ground, except rifle vices! You have to be in contact with the air gun, shouldering the airgun and pulling the trigger!

All air guns are WELCOME.

Distance: 50 Yards. The trigger should be behind a firing line 50 yards from the target face.

Additionally, when posting your target please be sure to include the following in your post:

Screen Name or Name
Rifle or Pistol
Sights
Pellet
Position (Bench Rested, Front bag, Front/Rear Bag, Shooting Sticks, Prone, HFT etc.).
Score
Other optional information to share (weather, etc.)

Please indicate the match name, match number and the date when the match was shot on the target.

Target sheet must not have been used (or to be used) in another match.

Target sheet posted must have been shot during the inclusive dates for that particular match number.

Remember the most important rule is to have fun!!!!!!!

Ok, I'll post. Not the best, but it was my first try. Maybe later when the weather gets better I'll give it another go. Too many fliers...

Thanks Robert. I learned that the TM doesn't like the H&N pellets lubed. I started using a new tin that I had washed and lubed and it looked like I was shooting a shot gun. Went back to the pellets straight from the tin and got a lot better results:)

Lastcat & Justjoe..... I score my targets the same as you would score the 30yd targets(and the others) and use an Eagle Eye scoring gauge(makes it very easy to score). From the rules....."Shots are scored according to the highest value of the target scoring zone or ring that is touched by a circle centered over the shot having a diameter equal to the pellet caliber designated on the target. A scoring gauge, scoring plug or even the head of a pellet (the skirt may be too large) for the caliber designated on the target helps with scoring. Or, just determine this circle using the hole in the target made by the shot as best you can. If any part of a scoring ring (demarcation line between the scoring zones) is touched by this circle, including even the outside edge of the scoring ring line, the shot is scored the higher value of the two scoring zones."..... Scoring this way looks like you guys would have a few more points.
Ricky does state in the opening post that you only need to touch the center dot to score a X, he is also hosting this match so maybe he'll chime in as to the acceptable way of scoring this match.

Marty your target reminds me of the target I shot a couple matches back, just one pesky flier preventing a 100/100 score.

Scoring is like all other matches as Marty described except you have to touch the center dot to score an X.

Lastcat's score looks like it could be an 84.

Just Joe the bottom left target could be higher but I can't tell from your picture.
