Anybody Have Pics of the Maximus Valve ?

I want to see the screws that hold it in the tube ... are they 8x32 and does it look as strong as the Discovery tube and valve ?

Also can you put a Chalenger hammer spring adjustmenter in it ?

"Looking as strong" as the Disco parts isn't much help.... as without testing we really have no idea if the Maximus parts are as strong as the Disco parts.... or stronger, for that matter.... It would be good to treat the Maximus as a new design of unknown origin, unless somebody can get Crosman to confirm it shares parts and materials with the Disco....

I just want to see what it looks like, does it use 3 screws ? are they 8x32, is the tube made like the Discovery tube ?

Just want to get a feeling about it. Just want some pictures to see what the valve looks like and how it attaches to the compression tube?

I don't have pictures right now but have the valve out of mine and on the work bench. Can try to post a few pics tonight. It only has two screws still 8-32 and holes are further back in the valve. Only the valve stem and spring are interchangeable. Cant fit a Disco valve in the maximus or vise versa.

Funny, just about to post these to my post on the Euro version.  You can see the difference in screws and location.  The Disco tube sits nicely in the stock.  If you plan to mod for power, then get a Disco tube and valve setup (or another from an aftermarket like Cothran).  Maximus on top, Disco Carbine under it.

Only 2 screw holding it...I haven't taken the trigger off, so that's news to me.  I will be glad when Crosman offers the parts.  I really just want to buy the barrels.

Can you please show pics of the Maximus valve to a Disco valve if you can?  Are the hammer and spring different, too?

Two 8x32 screws ...... They are really pushing the safety edge srn't they ? .... Are they waiting for a air tube after a few months of flexing to explode ? I would think It has to have three screws ... what type of heads are those ?

IF (and only if) they are using the same screws as in the PRod.... high-tensile low-profile 8-32 SHCSs.... then two of them at 2000 psi should be just as good as three of them at 3000 psi in the PRod.... It shows how dangerous it is to assume that two similar guns are built the same way, however.... It's probably a very good thing they moved the screw holes so that the parts aren't interchangeable....

Almost looks as if a P-Rod valve could go into a Maximus tube.

Time will tell when Crosman puts out the EVP parts manual for the Maximus, I think it's usually about a year after they're on the market before they release all the part numbers on them.

In an email to Crosman they said 6 months.
