Looking forward to the revues on accuracy and the power of this gun. I have an idea it is going to be a very accurate gun, and being .357 cal and not 45, you may be able to get a good high velocity bell curve for 4 or 5 nice shots, sending 125gr pills in the 900-950fps range.
I get a nice bell curve with my Bulldog ... but it is at around the 795 fps range, I have not modded my "DOG" yet, so if it gets another ~75 fps with the port enlarging and the valve spring removal, that will push it up nearing the Texan class ;- )
R&L is picking them up I believe in a few weeks or less I believe ;- )

Yeah, they've been promising the two smaller caliber Texans since spring. The last update I'd seen was Sept. 30th. Well after reading this post I looked again at a distributors release date in hopes it had not yet again been pushed back another month. Guess what? Yet again has been pushed back another month to Oct. 31st.
It's mind boggling that airgun release dates are constantly moved back. And not moved in real world estimates rather two week and monthly intervals for up to a year. It's bad business. It seems makers don't care about clients nor honesty. New products are first overly reported for power to grab the consumers attention. Then a near future release date is given to keep the prospective consumer on the hook and not allow them to purchase another gun. Just keep letting out the line and reeling back in. There is no integrity anymore.
Let's see, Airforce small calibers were first reported at 400 FPE for .357 and release date of April. That date was pushed back in two week intervals and after first few pushes the FPE was rewritten to 350 FPE for .357 caliber. Since June the release has consistently been pushed back to end of following month. No articles or explanation for delays just consistent delay with no real world release date given. The trend is not only with AIrforce, it's with all manufacturers.
My beef is not only the BS of it but here the game season is quickly approaching and in reality this gun will likely not be released in time for November season. There was plenty of time to purchase say a Recluse and have it Will Pratt tuned before the 2016 game season. Certainly no time now, could purchase a Recluse for season then have it tuned after season is over but that not worthy. Adds gun shipping costs to the total just to have a .357 for the season. There is always next year but it's aggravating when thinking of all the lies for sole reason to keep consumers from purchasing a different product.

Jim Chapman added 2 new photos.
September 17 at 4:51pm ·
"Out with the AirForce .357 today.... Wow! Sledge hammer on power, tack driver on accuracy, and a high shot count. Impressive, can't wait to introduce it to coyotes
Jim Chapman- I was testing the gun as part of an evaluation on .357 air rifles I am doing for Game&Fish magazine. I only had the gun for a short time, but as soon as I have it for a longer period I'll do a more involved testing, use it for hunting, and get the results into the public domain ........ Think this one is worth the wait."
Are these excerpt from Facebook what your refering to? They had prototypes at the gun show months ago too. So as of September 17th Jim got a day to test it out. That's not giving me high hopes for a gun in hand by this November.

From my sources they wanted to really wanted to get it right the first time !!! .... rate of twist for the general bullet they expect most folks to use, for the game they expect people to hunt.with this caliber.
From what I have heard, this gun has some major power, hits like freight train and can get a few
good
shots from the same air fill !

gracious! The .357 is on the shelves at Pyramyd and Air Depot. I did not believe it would happen this year and foolishly spent my money on food and car repair...
I am VERY anxious to read about performance from you guys. I've got a mold that drops 150 grain HP with high hopes it tracts well with controlled expansion from this gun. Anyone interested drop me a PM. OK, guys let's see some crony results. So friggin' excited.
