100 yards with a springer right on!!

When I see a gun shooting a group at a 100 yards. I think right on!  When I see a springer doing it.   I think, holy cow double right on!!  I can't help to wonder if the springer guns need more recognition.  It just seems that a 12lbs gun shooting 100 yard groups is unbelievable.  I own a springer and a PCP.  When I hope to but my name on the record book for the 100 yard club.  I don't imagine my self using my RSW 300m.  Ya it's the shooter, but we're talking a  5 pellet group at 100 yards.  Does any body fill like I do? The springers should be entitled to a different type of recognition. Or is just really, what it is.  A great shooter and their gun! Thinking out loud, Joe

Thanks Joe for the accolade.  It took over three months developing the game plan. 
Out of three air rifles capable of making the trip the Gamo Whisper was the most accurate.  That was a major surprise.  Pellet holes touching each other at 50 yards.  Why, I changed scopes.  Put my old Burris scope (built like a Mack truck) that was factory tuned.  Installed it my Air Arms SR rifle to compete in Field Target games at Tampa Florida in the 90’s. 

Over the past years I have tried target shooting with at least six to eight different budget air rifles.   Each time I tried shooting a group I learned something new.  Each AR and setup was different and required identifying and correcting the biggest problem that reduced the group size.   Sort of like getting married.  To make it work, a lot of adjusting and compromises awaits you every day. 

My point is “It’s the journey not the destination where the fun waits for you. “

Focus point, I'm telling ya.  When I read about your tryles and tribulations.  It make me think we need to have a N.U.A.H. 100 yard "springer" patch made.  I can't rap my head around the how much thought and engery it takes to find the AG package, range and day, time and understanding wife to get the job done. First, I don't like to move scopes around. I install a scope and dial it in,  I stand there and say "until death do you part". 2nd Zero, every time I change the zero on my scope, for one reason or a nuther I regret it later.   
I'm here to say great Job 100 yard springer's.   I make's me want work to earn the ranking the equal ranking,

Aw come on, the zen master says (paraphrasing here) If you miss the target, be happy, you have found another way of how not to shoot.  This is always the path to success. If you hit the target once you are just lucky.  I call it the Arrow Error library.
Build it and it will happen.

Per the rules;  5 shots with a minimum of 3 shots inside the 4 MOA circle. 
This is the first rung on the ladder.   It gets you membership.
