Ok I know I said my Marauder was shooting great right from the factory and I would not touch it, well guess what I am trying to tune it to make it better. The 1st thing I did was to record the factory settings so I could always go back. I read the A Team’s Tuning guide and decided to start with their suggested beginning settings (more or less) to see what I could get for a shot string, so here is what I got.
Shot Velocity Shot Velocity
1 938.3 11 957.8
2 940.7 12 960.9
3 947.3 13 955.3
4 946.0 14 956.0
5 947.8 15 955.9
6 952.4 16 952.8
7 950.4 17 952.4
8 952.8 18 947.7
9 954.4 19 944.6
10 952.0 20 936.2
This string has just what I am looking for in velocity but if possible I would like 10 more shots. My starting pressure was 3000 psi and it finished at 2300 psi.
The average vel. was 950.09 fps, the extreme dev was 24.7 fps, the average dev was 5.21 fps and the energy was 28.67 ft-lb
To me these are all pretty good numbers and I do not know how much better I could get them. So if anyone has any suggestion on how to improve the shot string or a suggestion to get 10 more shots I’m all ears or should I say eyes. lol

Not bad.. I think you should take more shots over the chrony. Even if you took 10 more shots I'm guessing you'd still be above 900fps, with the 30th shot around 890-900. But I think you are using a little too much air...
after 20 shots on a 3000psi fill....my gun is normally around 2600psi. I'll guess closing off the velocity screw just a lil bit
what are your settings?

opps I knew I forgot something. The hammer spring is at 4 cw from all the way ccw out, the hammer throw is at full (all the way ccw) and the air port is at full port (out ccw 4 turns)
I will decease the air a little at a time to see what happens. I would like to stay above 900 and get 30 shots but 40 would be GREAT but maybe not possible. Time will tell

Norm you should try closing your velocity port 1/8 turn at a time with the stock off at your prime psi so like 2500 2600 and keep turning your port down untill your velocity starts to decrease keep in mind your velocity will fluctuate from shot to shot. But this is what I did to help efficiency. Your shot string isn't bad there.
