Feinwerkbau 300S U Left Handed

Hi All,

I have acquired a nice FWB 300SU, in left hand stock. Dated 1980 I believe. No rear sights.
Stock has dings and a couple of scratches on the blueing and some minor rust pitting on the muzzle weight, but otherwise pretty good condition.

I have stripped it and resealed it and it shoots very nicely. I brought it unseen with very limited description from seller. Turned out to be a lefty and I am a righty..

I have flipped the adjustable cheek rest to make it shootable in RH and it stacks pellets as you would expect.
A little stock work scalloping the grip and shaping the other side of the cheek rest could make this a comfortable ambidextrous shooter, but will I be shunned from the airgunning community for altering the left hand stock??

Any ideas where to get a right handed stock? By chance, any leftys out there stuck with the same model rifle in RH stock??

They certainly are fun to shoot. With all new seals it stacks pellets.
At the moment I am on the lookout for a RH stock but I'm not sure how often they would come up for sale.. Plus I'm not sure how much it would cost to get all the way from New Zealand!

As another lefty shooter, I suspect you would have an easier time selling it to a lefty and finding the right handed model.
Assuming import and export from New Zealand is not an issue.

If you want to alter it, it is your gun but you will reduce its value.

If I do decide to sell it, I will put a notice up on the forum.
BUT I will be keeping an eye out for a RH stock firstly, as it is just such a joy to shoot.

Thanks, I am not a lefty so making it ambidextrous would be good, but I also don't want to spoil it for a lefty shooter who may appreciate the stock as original!

So I will keep the sandpaper away..
