Crosman Legacy 1000 Multi Stroke

Anyone try the Crosman Legacy 1000 Multi Pumper yet?
Performance looks pretty impressive.
I would be interested to know if the breech is metal or plastic.
Any and all related thoughts on the gun would be appreciated.

From what I understand, it's basically just a plastic receiver 2100.

The legacy 1000 is a bit different from the 2100 in that the receiver is shaped different from the 2100 on the left side and has 1 additional screw at the front on top near the barrel. The piston rod is solid aluminum.
Here are the chrony results for the CPL 7.9g pellets
10 pumps average 670 fps and 7.5 fpe
15 pumps average 724 fps  and 9.5 fpe

IIRC it usually takes about a year for the parts to be available on new guns.



Kevin, it looks like it has some modding potential. Replace the valve spring with a lighter one and you should hit 700 fps with 10-12 pumps.

new pumper models BUT,
They need to think about that loading port,

It already hits 704fps with 12 pumps using cpl 7.9g. I will just be shooting it until it no longer works then I will tear it apart.

Got mine from PA
Lots of plastic.
Flings BB's at a pretty good clip (I do not own a chrony) with 6 pumps I cannot discern a time lapse
between the sound of the shot and the impact on target at 10 yards.
My only real observation is that the gun is a bit hard to cock.
It really stresses the lever/bolt to pull to the cocked position.
I hope the bolt finger lever holds up.

Sounds like you have nice stiff hammer spring.

That or the bolt is rubbing on the receiver half, try loosening the screw closest to the bolt a little bit and seeing if that helps

Intrigued, but seeing this made me buy a refurbished 2100 for $35 just to keep around in case they discontinue them.

I would just stuff the piston on the 2100 since it's a one piece plastic while you wait a year for them to release the part number of the metal one.

There is more give on the 2100 piston than stuffing will fix.

The legacy 1000 was only $49 as a kit with safety glasses included at Walmart.com

I have one, and very pleased with it. Easy to pump. Hits hard with surprisingly good accuracy. The bolt can be scary to cock. I found that if I push in on the slide behind the finger lever with my thumb, it cocks much easier. There seems to be a slight notch at the rear of the part that is stopped my the receiver housing.

So far, it is my only pumper. But I find myself grabbing it more than my other rifles for a day of plinking/target shooting.

Bought one 2 days ago very accurate with both crosman premiere hp. And the pointed. It's faster then my Daisy 880 but 10X harder to pump. I may put up a video comparing the two guns
