Range day with Bulldog and new AeroMagnum Devistators

So i had a couple of hours to spend out on the range Sunday. I wanted to go Saturday but I couldn't resist going to the Air Gun Show up in Arlington.

I took some video but it will take me a little while to get it edited, so here are some pics.

I also made up some home made Knott's brand ballistics gel. and shot a round into it at 2 foot away. Just wanted to see how bad it would fragment. It did not lose any weight.

All in all, I was EXTREMELY happy. I tried to get over to the 100yrd range but it was full of powder burners. So i will save that for the next trip.

I think i found my new favorite bullet. Thank you Al for all the hard work you put into these. I weighed all the bullets in my box and only saw a couple of tenths of a grain through the whole box. Its obvious that you did some sorting.

The ballistic-tipped Devastators in both the lighter 128.5gr. and heavier 135gr. will soon follow.

Looking forward to the slightly larger bullet.
The 128 g went 9.7/8" deep into the gel but as a distance it won't. So the 135 should retain a little more energy and do exactly what I want.

I saw a picture of those ballistic tip somewhere and they look like armor piercing ammo. They are going to be AWESOME for a big hog head or for a front heart shot. I've shot big boars in the head and chest with a soft nose 30-30 and it just perturbed them off. So a sharp steel point like that to penetrate will be awesome.

It will really be nice of they keep the same point of impact the hollowpoint. That way I can just have 2 mags loaded. One of each kind.

Hey Al, quick question, do these bullets have a lube on them?

They don't feel oily or sticky in anyway but they feel way to slick to not have something on them.

should I lube these with anything? They shot really well the way they are but i just thought i'd ask.

We apply a "nano" thin teflon coating to all of the Airmunition rounds. That might explain why they have that very slick, yet dry/not tacky feel.

We do this for several reasons, one of which, is to prevent you from having to do any kind of special lubing or anything like that.

Nice grouping.  Did you adjust anything on the second group?  Air pressure, etc?

Yes i changed the spring pressure to get a better bell curve. I thought i was recording all that info but i must have screwed up and not pressed record on the camera.
So i lost all the data.
