I'm kinda on the fence about this deal. The reviews I've seen certainly say this gun has power but it seems to lack refinement. I'd be inclined to trade off some raw power for accuracy and quality. Can anyone comment on their experience with this rifle?

The ones I shot were very harsh shooters, I didn't like them. It's been said though that the newer ones have a much better firing cycle.. although I haven't shot any of the newer ones so I can't verify that. We have a few members here who own them, I'm sure they'll chime in.

If it was easy it wouldn't be hunting it would be shopping.

I have one in .25 that I really like, great for hunting. Is a bit much to sit and shoot 250 in an evening though. I do that occasionally that my RWS 45 or Titan.
Harsh at first. Unrefined, a bit. Didn't care for the scope so swapped it out and added a UTG solid mount. I did a quick lube tune, shot some SLIME (tire repair stuff) into the stock to deaden it a bit and it shot well.
I cut and recrowned the barrel. Threaded it for a 5/8-11 LDC and choked the barrel an additional 0.0007" or so. Made some turcite shim spacers for both the trigger and safety to take the sideways play out, lubed & polished the trigger and it now shoots really, really well.
I have some pix somewhere of groups I shot at 25, 40, 50 and 60 yards the other night. A group of 5 at 60 was slightly larger than a dime but could be covered easily with a quarter. Shoots right around 30 FPE after all the updates.
There are several models out there with various updates. Mine is a single screw forend without the quattro trigger. Haven't shot one with the quattro but it really looks like a nice upgrade.

Lots of upgrades out there for this AG. I have one in each cal 22-25.
When you get it if you get if....check the FPS using a chrony. Some have bad seals and you won't shoot anywhere near what it claims. Both of mine are requiring additional work. Rane Air has the 25 right now and the 22 is going to a local tuner.
The 22 is also a NP but it has a bad seal. The 25 shot really harsh and was a little slow. Haven't mounted a scope on either one yet. Mine seem to have the old triggers and do't know if they have the recoil system.
New Hatsan 125 are a huge improvement over these but can't find them in this country. Good luck on the AGD reman, if I didn't already have the 22 I jump on it. I just got tired of waiting for them to come back. I would put a tin or two through these guns before mounting a scope...and it is a workout. Enjoy.
