How many pumps?

How many pumps in a benjamin marauder .25 with the Benjamin Pump?  Just curious because the Scuba thing is ridiculously expensive plus I would have to buy a new compressor.  Oh I forgot I'm not a certified diver so apparently the dive shop can't fill it.

280 or 285 from 0 to 3000psi. Roughly 11 pumps per psi on benji pump guage. Trick is to shoot 1 to 2 mags trough than re-pump back to 3000 or your rifles sweet spot.

i pump mine to 3000psi shoot 16 shots. it usually ends up almost 2000psi. then it takes me about 75 pumps give or take a few to get back to 3000psi. good luck and happy pumping

If I lowered the velocity a little bit and pumped to 3000 would I get anywhere around 30?

If you have a chronograph, the marauder can be tuned to your liking. See the a team tuning guide in the library. Personally I got the .25 for power and accuracy so I would not tune it down. If you want a higher shot count maybe a .22 would be better. I have been thinking about getting it in .177 for plinking.

When the pumping gets tiresome, check out the Shoebox compressor.
For a tank solution, check out Joe Brancato and one of his small carbon fiber tank setups.
You can get everything you need (compressor/tank/gauges/hoses) for less than $1000.00.

I got tired of handpumping with my Hill Pump after about 18 months.
The affordability of the Shoebox compressor, was the final straw.

In the meantime, enjoy!!!  The Marauders are awesome!!!  I've got a .22 and a .25!!!

I have the Mrod in .22 and will shoot about 2 clips. Then I will top it back to about 2200 psi (about 30 pumps + or - ) where it seems to shoot the best for me.
