Cool deal on the Mellon barrel. That's not to bad of a wait for getting a part from Charlie either. I like the looks of these with the shorter barrel too.
Next step is step up to a m-rod trigger. That's one of the best mods I've done to mine. It is a real nice trigger group.

Is the 2260 the same gun as the QB78D? It looks just like it from the picture.

The barrel is not picky at all, it pretty much key holed Crosman premier dome, RWS superdome, JSB 18.1 and 15grn, Polymags and H&N Barracuda pellets at 10-12 yards.

Nice rifle. But I don't think you understand the term "key hole." If I bought a new barrel and it keyholed, I would be sending it back post haste.
