Anyone shot a Vulcan?

I was looking at a suppressed Gen 3 Vulcan .25 on Talon Tunes and was wondering if anyone had ever shot one, could tell me if Talon Tunes is reputatable, or if anyone has a reccomended air rifle for sub 1" groups at 100 yards. I'd like a rifle below $2000 not including scope etc.

Oh PS I've definitely hit targets at 100 (a beer can at 125 being my furthest to date) with my untuned RWS 54, though honestly past 80, my most accurate pellets (JSB 18.13) are going too slow and are too susceptible to wind drift for me to feel like I'm practicing for much more than luck.

i think you are gona have to get into the air rifles that shoot bullets, not pellets to do 1 moa at a 100 yd , ive shot 1 barely under with a 30 cal bobcat and probably will do it again but nobody knows when.

Check out BwaltonPCP.com; he can take a bone stock Hatsan .30 or .25 and turn it into a monster.  There's a guy on youtube named Souther Gunner who is shooting his BWalton tuned Hatson .30 Carnivore out to 125 in the wind and getting sub 1" groups.  IMHO, find out what you want and then mind a tuner that knows the guns.  You can find a base line gun you like and a good tuner could make into what you want.  That'll take some time and research, but it isn't work when you love the subject, right?

how many 3-4" groups does he shoot before he gets that 1" group?
when you get one that you can walk outside with and shoot 100 yds  moa, please tell me about it.

From the feedback I've heard, those groups are repeatable and the gun will handle it after it's BWalton tune up.  It's all up to the operator after that.  I've seen the Hatsan BT65 in .25 after tune in action and it has no problem with squirrel heads at upwards of 125 yards.  And that's a small target.  If you have $2k to spend, one of these rifles (or better, the .30 BT65 Carnivore), a tune up and an airtank will probably run under that and I haven't seen anything out there yet that comes close to these Hatsans once tuned...

In all honesty, the .30 Hatsan Carnivore is my next rifle and he's going to tune it for me.  Right now I have an FX Wildcat in .22 and while it's as accurate as the day is long out to 50 yards, there is a problem going for anything past that due to the nature of the .22 pellet.  Baxter has been tuning Hatsan't for some time and if you like the Vulcan because of it's accuracy and that bullpup design, then check out his Mad Squirrel Bullpup.  He has one chambered in .25 that is plain mean.  You can check out his youtube videos at airgun hunter extreme channel.  I know you'll be impressed.  The Vulcan is a great gun, but it is EXPENSIVE.  You definately get some exclusivity by owning a vulcan, but if you want performance, there are cheaper ways to go!

I will take a look at the carnivore and BWaltonPCP.com, though I may just stick with firearms for anything past 80 yds as anything that reaches out that far consistently is probably going to be too dangerous for my backyard anyway

Here's what I can tell you about the Vulcan,

 I do not personally own one, but I have a buddy whom I shoot with a few times each month.
Just last Saturday, we were pesting on a new permission together, where we took out over 70 ground squirrels together.

I watched him take several ground squirrels at 85 to 105 yards that day, and I cant even describe how easy the headshots were at 50 to 60 yards. I also watched him hit a couple at 120 yards, and one at 137 yards.
 now get this,...
  ... one of them at 104 yards,... and the one at 137 yards, ...
  ... he took while Standing shooting Freehand !.

and then just about 2 weks ago,
 I was sitting next to him as he hit a chicken egg at 100 yds, and then he followed up that shot with two more eggs we had set at 135 yds!

 Yes, the Vulcan is a VERY Impressive shooter !

 (I may even have to mess up his scope adjustments just so I can keep up with him        )

Don't kid yourself, those are not common feats with that gun.  It is capable of such accuracy as many of the higher end guns are, however, don't discount what one person who uses the gun constantly and is in tune with the gun can accomplish.  You do your due dilligence and know your range and hold over and any decent gun behind a dedicated owner will give that result.   The price point is the issue for me.  IMHO, for the same money, you can get bigger and badder.  You just can't get as exclusive.  Taking a bullpup out to 137 yards takes a special relationship between man and rifle.  Should start calling that guy Spock, he's so in tune with his Vulcan...

trust me, I am not kidding myself about any of what I stated.
 the gun is amazingly accurate and consistant.
yes, he IS an excellent shot, of that there is no doubt... BUT, without a accurate and consistent gun, even an excellent shooter can't hit what they are aiming at with the confidence he (and I) have in that gun.
 the OP was specifically asking about the .25 Vulcan, and he even stated he was in the market for a $2000 or under gun. That puts him into the higher-end more exclusive guns already. That was what I was replying to.
Every one is entitled to their opinions here, and if price point was your issue that is fine.

 btw, I also know BWalton personally. We are quite good friends, and we shoot together fairly often.
 Yes, he has done some impressive work with the Hatsans, but I'b be willing to bet that even Baxter would not say that they are in the same class.

My Hatsan in the same engineering class, no, its a Hatsan as far as accuracy goes yes. 100yard groups are common for a great shooting rifle of any brand. You also have to be a good shooter as well.

id give an arm and a leg to shoot like that but its not the same as sub moa at 100 yd in the wind!
i should add that when i talk about outdoors & wind, im thinking about my situation where the wind is usualy changeing directions, occasionaly 180 degrees enery minute or less. if  the wind is very constant( which ive never seen) i suppose you could allow for it a lot metter.

I have a gen 3 vulcan .25 that I just don't shoot. I'm willing to sell it. Save you some bucks over buying new. Probably less than 300 pellets though it. Just came back from RL airguns who fixed a small issue with it and they sent me a test target that is pretty impressive. PM me if you're interested. I'm just down the road a bit from MD (well, a couple hundred miles) in NC if you want to shoot it.

With the AG's that I have at this time anything past 50 yards is just plinking or playing

I had a .25 Vulcan for a while and loved it, wish I had never sold it. I could shoot a acorn off the tree at about 75 yards consistently and shot groups under 4 inch at 150 yards and under 2 inch at 100 yards. the gun is very accurate and you won't go wrong with the Vulcan. I had a friend shoot it and he was hitting a 4 inch steel plate at 150 yards repeatedly and had never shot a Vulcan before that day. A hatsan .25 can be made to shoot accurately but I Higher end gun will do it out of the box and be more efficient.
