If we take out the odd high shots, it looks like it wants about a 1/2 turn more spring on the hammer pre-load.  I say that since the last shots are still faster than the first ones.   OR, you could start with a lower fill pressure, and it looks like it'll do 30 shots at that speed all day long.  But yeah, it's shooting darn near 40fpe out of the box!  Not bad at all

I'm in agreement with Donny. Those oddball high velocity shots at the beginning of your string look kind of squirrely until you graph it out and realize the velocities are continuing to climb until shot 25.  The hammer isn't able to consistently open the valve at the beginning of your string, meaning more hammer spring tension, or reducing your fill pressure.  Looks like it could be a very nice performer!

Winston, thanks for taking the time to plot the shot count. It does help show me my next adjustments. Since I have the P12 shooting over 40 shots at about 28 ft lbs I want the Bullboss shooting about 40 ft lbs for the bigger critters.

I must have gotten lucky then.  I went to the paintball shop and had it filled.  They only had 250 bar of pressure.  But I topped it off with my nitrogen tank later.

Well, I took the 2 SCBA tanks to the Dive Shop on McEver and had them both filled, supposedly to 4100 psi.  They were very nice about it, only wanting to verify the latest Hydro and not demanding a Visual Inspection like Dive, Dive, Dive in Lawrenceville insisted on ("It's for our insurance, we have no say in it").

However, after cooling off, I put a deadhead fitting on my fill hose and both tanks only registered 3400 psi. I even swapped gauges and it read the same.  Both tanks registered 4000 psi on their built-in gauges, so I guess those aren't even close to accurate.  Disappointing, but I'm glad there are other fill options.

That's about right for when they cool down.  They lose about 500 psi of pressure. The faster they fill them the hotter they get and they lose more pressure when they cool. The paintball shop I use usually fill to 4500 psi.  Sometimes when they are very busy they deplete the cascade tanks.  The day I went they were just low on pressure.

I'm not sure this guy is a good source of information.  On his video review, he didn't even know what the brass degasser was.  Maybe his gun was faulty but i'm not sure it's a design flaw.

He might be a goober, lol!  I've had my gun apart countless times with no issues, and he obviously had not before he started the video.  He did state later that there was metal that things screw into behind the plastic though. The proper thing would have been to find that out, before starting the video.  It is a little misleading.  Those screws are short for a reason I'd think, so I wonder if that is going to cause him issues somewhere down the line?

Unfortunately I would not rush to judgement. The exact screws on my Bullboss are behaving the same way he describes and one of the front ones will just turn with a screwdriver and never tighten up. I noticed it right after I took it out of the box (the first think I always do with a new gun is check the tightness of the various screws that I see) but didn't think much about it at the time. I will have to look it over more closely and may have to try the longer screw approach, we'll see.

Maybe the guy at Hatsan partied too much and didn't use this when assembling the Bullboss?

Ok so I have an update on the SCBA fill stations, I got us 10% off for the fittings and am still trying to track down a good suppler for the micro bore hose and gauges. I couldn't find a good source for the tanks so ebay may be the best option for them.

I have found a seller who will sell us multiple Luxfer 45 min 4500 psi CF tanks for $75/ea shipped.  These are dated 2006, but they need a hydro ($12 @ Peach State).  Good for another 5 years.  The photos look like they are in decent condition.  These should be the equivalent capacity of Joe B's Tiger Shark tanks.

My issue was more with the way he did the video, not so much that he was pointing out a potential problem.  He just sounded a little whiny and sort of misrepresented the situation at first.  It is fully possible somebody at Hatsan gorilla fisted the screwdriver when building some guns though.  As I mentioned earlier, I was wondering about the length of the screws, and if the longer ones would cause any issues somewhere.  I've also seen on a few Hatsans that the screws used were stripped, but not the holes they go into.  Those particular screws do not require extreme tightness, so I wonder if they were designed to not be very tight, but someone at the factory thought they should be tighter and stripped them.  That is definitely a problem that needs to be fixed though.  I didn't mean for my response to take away from the fact that it could be an issue to look into if you have a Bullboss

That is unfortunate for sure   It sounds like maybe Hatsan should slow down, and put a little more effort into the quality control department.  The design is solid, but if the people putting them together don't get it right, then it just makes Hatsan look bad.  Did they make the guns right for you and your friend?

My friend sent his in to PA for replacement which they did no questions. I sent mine back to AGD for replacement but put more money with it and got a gladius that wouldn't cycle a magazine and I'd bet money it was refurbished, all the extra parts were dirty and looked used(degasser, and probe and such) so I returned that and spent more money and ended up with a BSA r10mk2- and I'm a happy camper. AGDs customer service or returns dpt. Is pyramid air, and they were great.

I've never handled one, but those BSAs are very nice from what I hear.
