Nice little carbine! Looks like the Ruger .22 carbine my brother has. Did you restore the finishes yourself? Looks restored. nice.

No that's the original finish. All I had to do was the bulk fill conversion, lighten the striker, and valve work. Oh, also had to fix the barrel separation under the sight.

Very clean looking never the less. Just for the heck of it, I fired the Winchester 1400CS springer a little bit ago. Dang, that thing is loud with a very pronounced back-n-forth recoil.

Just picked up and I must say the most complete I've ever seen... Has original receipt for $27 and a Dwight Eisenhower stamp on the envelope that came in the box

Dug this outta the closet & started cleaning it up. Crosman AIR17. It still has the factory clip, sling & pellet speed loaders from Crosman, stored in the clip. According to Crosman site here, http://www.crosman.com/discover/crosman/crosman-product-dates, the AIR17 was built January 1987.

I picked up this Benjamin Franklin 312 the serial number puts it at 1958
The safety lever is missing and the bluing has worn but it hold psi and shoots
Good the stock is in pretty good shape to

Another golden oldie! Looks pretty darn good for it's age! Sorta like Rooster Cogburn...our feathers may droop a little, & our waddle may show, but we can still out-crow anything in the barnyard!

the air 17 is a pretty cool little gun, I'm just not sure why they went with a single pump vs multi pump. My dad wanted one of those a long time ago while he was in the army, but now regrets never buying it.
BTW does the faux magazine for that have a slotted piece of foam inside for the chips like the m4177 does ?

No, it doesn't. I store the speed loaders in there. You might get 4 of'em in there if arranged just right. Thing shoots just fine though. I wanna get some stuff to test fire it at 10yards in the backyard. That's about all I have room for here at home.

They all take about the same basic work to convert to bulk fill. The one exception that I've found is the very first F Rocker safety models that have O D threads on the end of the tube for the tube cap. They would need a bridge jumper slid further into the tube to block off the bleeder hole.
I personally favor the Rocker safety F's more than the later thumb safety models because earlier guns are lighter and trimmer.

  Thanks for that.  I would definitely want a rocker safety.  I love my '67 Streak and have several older Crosman CO2 guns.  That looks like one sweet rig.  Gonna have to keep my eyes open...

it's a single pump, so 10yds sounds perfect. I hope it proves to be a fun little 10yd gun👍

Not the greatest pics, but I will take some better ones.

Velocity (fps) with various level of pumps.  It sometimes holds air when it is fired, so the exhaust valve is probably a little sticky.  I'll add some more Secret Sauce from Mac1 and see if that helps.  Overall, very pleased.
