Love it already Great balance, feels good in my hands. But safety appears to be missing? In this pic, you can see a recess behind the bolt, with a seal on a small post. Safety pin, missing lever or pull?

*** Well, curiosity finally got the better of me, & I grabbed a small screwdriver to push in that sealed pin behind the bolt. It was indeed the safety. I was then able to pull the trigger & release the pressure on the firing mechanism. didn't hear any gas/air pressure releasing though...Co2 cartridges must be spent? And in front of that small recess I found the letters, " J S"?

Got this one the other day. I've got a lot of projects going on over here. It's got my head spinning. Still trying to wrap up that 1400 the Talon still needs to be figured out. So I figured why not add another oldie to the collection. The man wanted me to buy it. So I couldn't let him down.
Well, he said it was given to him by his father in law. He's now had it for 10-11 years. Now this gentleman was older 60ish? He said his in law told him he bought it new in 1948-1949. That 1400 was neglected by his previous owner. This girl was used extensively in its life by a hunter for small game.

As you can see the sanding has been done for me. Just by handling over the 60+ years of service.

Even though she has got her cracks and a few rough looking edges. She is so soft in the hand. The grip is much slender than any Dan I've had.

Here's my 1964 silver streak and one of my first variant crosman 1970 1400s, both resealed but unrestored and my first air gun being another first variant 1968 1400 that has had a 2240 steel brech modified to fit the air tube with a 24" disco barrel and metal 760 front barrel band/tube plug. Its the bottom one in the rack.

I actually shot all the rifling out of the barrel or at least what little it had since the 1400s were known for very minimal rifling. The OE barrel looks like a shotgun barrel now.

I was at the Kalamazoo BB gun and air rifle show last week,
Several BB guns of all conditions and air rifles to see.
Way over priced IMO.
I did purchase a vintage Webley Tempest.

I wanted to make this pistol unique, so l added a Ghost Skull graphics skin to the gun.

I go every year, it's a nice show and you can usually find almost anything. I sold every Co2 pistol I brought, they seemed to love those this year.

Here is my 1973 Benji modle #137
I had to make some custom parts cause I couldn't find any so it has a custom brass hammer that rear cocks with a super strong hammer spring capable of dumping 7-8 pumps ! And a custom machined aluminum rear peep sight made from the 1377 peep apature.. 409 fps with crossman field hunting pellets!

And my Slavia #618 it has been tunned up and made a little top hat for it and shimmed the spring. But.... I can't sem to find a new or NOS piston seal ... I want something that seals better than the leather that's on there. Might have to machine a piston and cup for it that takes squished over tubing to seal.

Don't know the date on the #618 , the serial # is 125736 if anyone can help . Stamped on the barrels breach

Looks like I've got another old girl on the way. Made a deal for Crosman 622 C02 repeater with 4 clips. Unique bird indeed. 6 shot clip that works like a pump action shotgun. I'll get some pictures up when I get my hands on it. Hopefully midweek.

Googled pics of the 622. Interesting gun. I can't remember seeing that one, but it's cool. It'll be interesting to hear about. Your going to enjoy the 622 but be prepared to buy pellets because you will go through a tin in a hurry!

LOL... already been thru that. I bought 2 of the 1077 and had the hangie tanks on them. Then I had a Vigilante. I got rid of them for that very reason. However.. the 622 is a classic and works in my collection. When Scott Decker visited our home a month or so ago he took one look and told me that he had a gun that I needed. He knew what he was talking about.

I know you going to enjoy that gun. I've been thinking about buying another one to share when I have family or friends over. The one I have was a basket case and needed a bunch of work including a barrel. It took me about 6 months to find one and I was just lucky because they don't grow on trees. What ever you do don't let your wife shoot it! You'll never get it back!

Better late than never I reckon.... USPS says the 622 is in the mail truck to my house this morning. Apparently it took the scenic route. Only took 2 days to travel 44 miles. It's all good, I'm looking forward to this one.
