Just ordered a used FWB 602 10-meter rifle!!!  I think I got lucky with it, as the cost is about US$575.  It's coming from a reputable dealer and includes a one-year warranty.  I asked if I should pick up a set of replacement seals for it, just in case, and was assured that it was unnecessary.  The rifle has been fully inspected and tested and that's why they're giving the warranty.

That means I'll *probably* be selling my CZ200T in the near future.

Nope, don't even know who Jim is.  I am getting mine from Gerrit Krale in the Netherlands.  Second gun I'm buying from him.

Well, I'm sure looking forward to that barrel of fun! 

I'm only going to use the 602 for 10-meter paper target shooting with diopter sights.  I've got other rifles with scopes for when/if I want do to other stuff.  I have no idea what velocity this is going to shoot at (high velocity isn't needed for paper targets anyway) and I have much higher power guns for other things.

Thanks Vitaly!  You're going to have to come over and test them out, and hopefully pronounce them to be "match quality".   

(Inside joke folks... Vitaly is the most incredible shooter I know, and he tested my CZ 200T and even after trying a bunch of different pellets he had to say it was NOT match quality.  And that was a real bummer!  The gun was a lot better than I was, but I really wanted a gun good enough that I would know without any doubt that any failings were my own, and not the gun.)

The "Jim" is probably Jim Edmondson. He's known for selling quality used 10m rifles. If anyone has contact info for Jim, I could use it. I've tried his old email troutmd@earthlink.net but wouldn't work.

That should be current.

  As a general rule, when anyone uses the name 'Jim' or 'Jim E.' in reference to 10M match rifles, they are referring to Jim Edmondson.
  Jim deals in hard to find, obsolete, rare,  and just plain cool 10M match rifles that he locates overseas mainly.

  I am in complete agreement, but there's no accounting for what some people will get up to in their spare time.............

You will love that German piece!  Built and sound like a Swiss watch.
Mine (603) is set up with a 6-24x scope for mini sniping and it's a blast to take off grasshopper heads at 10-20 yards at 24x!

Now I've got to wait until 6pm (SIGH) for the staff to go home before I get to shoot it and zero in the sights.  The rifle came to me with the sights and stock removed.  I'm feeling like a kid waiting for Christmas morning!

I haven't been able to find out when the 602 was made (what years) but I wish I'd be able to hear the stories this rifle could tell...  Was it used by an Olympic competitor?  Was it a winner?  Where has it travelled?  How many owners has it had?  Serial number is 202xxx.

Tell us more - how much fps it develops and if you can check it's actual weight it would be interesting too.

If you want to have a gun used in the Olympics or World Championships, make it so!
