Copper pellets

Anyone had any luck with the copper pellets in there
Hatsan at44 ,  22cal
Seems like there would be a lot less fouling if they shoot ok ?
H&n has a few different ones and I also seen some on eBay from Argentina that was reasonable in cost.

If they are Apolo brand, I'd be VERY skeptical.  All the Apolo brand pellets I've seen had horrible quality issues.  They made Gamo look like a premium brand.

If you are thinking of going copper, try the H&N Baracuda Power or Field Trophy Power. I used to shoot them & got reasonable accuracy, they are just about as good as their lead counterparts.

Only reason I stopped using them was the cost.

Given that copper is a lot harder than lead, is there a chance that it will negatively affect the rifling of our soft-steel airgun barrels?  I wouldn't mind using copper (or at least trying it out), but I don't want to damage the barrels of my guns.

I've shot the copper plated barracuda 21 gr. in my .22, and the accuracy is decent.  It wasn't as good as the lead counterparts are in my gun, but those pellets in lead are same hole accurate in mine.  Oh, and I've shot the Sig copper hollow points, which are basically copper plated barracuda hunters.  Again, accuracy was okay, but not quite as good as the lead versions.  If you need penetration, then the copper will do better.  You'll just have to try some, and see how they do in your gun.  The copper won't hurt your barrel to my knowledge.  Copper is still way softer than steel

Approximately $18 for 200 pellets - it might be a while before I give them a try.  Yeah, it is the accuracy issue!

    My Sumatra Carbine .22 loves the HN Baraccuda Power Pellets. Deadly accurate at long ranges too!! I had a BSA Scorpion 1200 that loved the HN Baraccuda Power pellets too. It's a good pellets in the guns I have tried them in.

Is it common knowledge that copper plated = less accurate? I'm new so looking to learn

    It all depends who you ask lol
It's up to your gun and its barrel. Some like it others don't. I have had good luck with the copper pellets. Others have had terrible luck.

Like Chacho, I too have great luck with H&N Barracuda Power in my Sumatra. I actually started them in my Condor .22, reason being they have high BC for pellets. Maybe they need to be pushed out wi high power, as Sumtra and Condor do? I will have to try in a lower power .22.
