Yes ....Gen 1 valves for the .177 & .22 were FLAT SEAT types using an inner cavity sleeve that can be removed. The gen 1 valves for the .25 cal had a RAISED SEAT and Non removable sleeve ( Actually body made with less internal diameter )ALL the Gen 2 valves are now in basic design like the Gen 1 guns .25 cal valves using an even heavier poppet spring.* The clearance slot for the trigger group screws was made longer in Gen 2 valves allowing there use in EITHER generation action.Gen 1 valves WILL NOT work however in a Gen 2 action without modifing there screw clearance holes into a longer slot.Otherwise valve in shape and fit work in either generation of action.

Any advantage to putting a Gen II Valve in a Gen I?Crosman claims a 30% increase in shot count for the .177 and .22Is that the Valve doing that?
