Converting my pistol to a carbine

I started the conversion of my pistol to a carbine this week. I made a longer shroud to add my baffles. Inletted the stock and got the basic shape done. I still need to fillet the edges and mount a folding stock adapter. I need to get the folding stock before I can do that. Going to get a shotgun barrel mount to mount a bipod and flash light.
Before
Start of the conversion.

Ok got the tri-rail barrel mount in for the bipod. Received the folding stock, modified it and made an adapter to mount it to the stock. Did some more machining on the stock. Clearance for the RVA, rounding and putting 45° on the edges. I have a green laser coming that I'm going to mount under the tube. Looking for a light, any suggestions welcomed.

Looking good! Got a link to the original build? I'd like to read more about it.

As a matter of interest, what made you decide to use metal for the chassis? It looks like it would be heavy. I have an aluminum bar that looks to have a similar volume of metal and it weighs over 2lb. Does that sound right for your stock?
I assume that, with it being a pistol / carbine, you would want it to be light?
I started making a similar type of chassis system using composites for my Cricket a while ago. The chassis part ended up weighing 80% less than the aluminum channel I used to mold it.
I used an aluminum AR compatible handle frame from Mako spearguns for the trigger guard and AR grip adapter.
The shape of your stock looks like it would be fairly simple to mold with carbon fiber or fiberglass.
It's looking good so far. what else are you planning to do to it?
Great project!

I have not done anything else to it. I've been busy working, any spare time I've been testing on my .308 air rifle. The aluminum chassis is only 1lb and 3/4oz heavier than the wood stock. I can shave some more weight of it with a little more hollowing out. I put a laser on it since the last pictures. With the full dress I have on it right now it weights 7.5lbs. I think I can get it under 7 if I don't add any more accessories.
