Flying Dragon XS- 60c & Bulk Fill Cap

    Anyone bought one of these air rifles that takes two 12 gram CO2 cans? Then, you can buy the bulk fill cap, and go with PCP. Just wondering how many good shots owners are getting, as this one stays with the smaller pressure chamber.

A lot fewer shots than with CO2, of course.... Do NOT fill above 1500 psi as an absolute maximum.... In fact, you may wish to be a bit more conservative than that as the stock tube is slightly smaller wall thickness than the longer replacement supplied by FD.... also check the threads between the tube and receiver to make sure they are a good fit....

Have a ‘fusion” (which is not unlike what you are asking about) and an OLD QB bulk fill end cap.

The fusion to the left/ old QB to the right:



I tried swapping the bottom piece. On the QB, it does nothing but hold the spring that powers the inlet valve.  With the Fusion bottom piece in place, it pierces a 12gr. AND holds the gas in.

Bottom sections being swapped:


What you end up with is a bulk fill cap that will also pierce 12gr.



So if you are using 12gr, that bulk fill cap will pierce the top 12gr just like the issue cap (and the vlave in the end cap will keep the co2 inside the gun and not vented out).  If you want to run bulk fill, it works just as well as any bulk fill end cap works.

  Nice idea! How many shots does your Fusion get with HPA, before the shots start dropping?

Don't use it on HPA other than trying it once. That little air tube doesn't hold enough air for a decent shot count.  The Flying Dragons PCP's built on this rifle use a much longer air tube and a more free-flowing valve.  Considering the limits of the air tube and a 1500psi pressure limit, would be lucky to get 10-12 shots inside a reasonable velocity spread (more if you mod it for really low power).

right now, I really do not know what to do with that rifle.  It's a bit sucky in shot count for a CO2 rifle, doesn't make a good HPA rifle as it is, so it stands empty at this time....maybe once real summer weather comes to the South I'll give it another try.

Post is something like 4 years old....looking around,  not coming up with a 2nd QB bulk fill. The QB bulk fillend capdid work on the fusion "as is"....but there were two lengths of QB end caps, and it was the old one....can't swear to the newer (longer)version but would assume it would as well.

I have searched high and low and my finding is nota.   You could make you own from replacement parts . Far as I could find out ,you can't buy such a piece. I 'm thinking that there is a  safety issue and know one wants the liability involved. Simple to make. Making your own doesn't incorporate the pieceing part though.

Old days....the QB's often came with one as a "freebie".....I'll look in the parts boxes to see there are any partial one.

I haven't tried it with a Fusion, but my QB78 (also 2 12g) maybe gets about 5, and the velocity drops from shot #1. Not worth it with that small a tube.

don't mean to hijack this thread but along the same lines I started a topic today on this but what I saw was a fusion with bulk fill cap attached to a hose and tethered off a small HPA tank with a max output of 800psi. you would get 100's of shots maybe thousands. The shooter reported much more consistent strings on HPA compared to CO2. Best for bench rest shooting which is all I do with the Fusion. I did find a video today where the shooter carried a small tank in a pack that fit on a belt so he could carry the rifle, not my style but definitely doable.
