Gun stock from birch plywood

I bought a Boyd's Blaster blank and I want to fit it to an HW97K. Stock makers I have contacted won't do it. Looks close to a DYI project at this time. Going to a wood working supply store here in town to look at tools. I know my way around a router, drill press and chisels. Wish me luck.....

Take it slow and measure often. I did a blue laminate Blaster for my D34 a couple years ago. I have another uninlet camo Blaster that I plan on inletting for my QB58 at some point. Though it will have to wait, as I just got a USFT and am busy getting it setup for Temecula.

Some finishing touches:

- A stainless steel washer as sleeve for the anti bear trap release button:



- Trigger shoe in place. Yes, it's upside down, feels better that way according to my finger:



- The gun after another two coats of varnish (a glossy marine grade type):
