Gun stock from birch plywood

A lot of nice home made gun stocks to be seen, just had to give it a go myself. Glued three pieces of birch plywood together for a total width of 45 mm. Have been thinking about the look for some time and ended up on a hybrid between a Slavia 631 and a Walther LGR.

Here's the first pic after rough cutting with a jig saw:

Fitted the action today. It's sturdy, everything works and it looks good - I'm happy! Now for a cold beer, more pics tomorrow.

Baltic, yes. 3 x 15 mm, 33 plys in total.

Next:

- The action fits good, but I will do some bedding with epoxy and saw dust to secure it in place.
- Butt pad from cotton micarta.
- Hole for the anti bear trap release button.
- More attention to details, more epoxy and then some coats of polyurethane.

Nice work with router and chisels.  Plywood isn't always the most friendly material when it comes to fine woodworking.

I like the look.  Did you use anything to keep the compression tube from sticking to the epoxy/sawdust mix (i.e., a "mold release agent")?

Nice job! I like the trigger guard. 

I built a custom stock for my benjamin discovery...the stock stock (hehehehe... Funny) was way too small for me, especially with a scope mounted.

Anyway, I'm going to put a marauder trigger into my Discovery and was wondering what I was going to do for a trigger guard.  Honestly, without seeing your stock, I never would have thought to screw the guard right into the stock (instead of screwing it into the action itself like would normally be done).  Great idea for diy stocks!  I will brazenly steal that idea, thank you! :-)
