What year did they change to the plastic breech/receiver?
And did any of the metal ones accept the 5 shot pellet mags?
Thanks

They switched to plastic receiver in the '80's or early '90's, and no, they switched to accept the pellet clips in '01

My dad got his 760 from christmas in 1986 and it has a plastic receiver, so it must have been before that.

Thanks guys.
I wonder what other early guns used these? I had an old AIR17 that used them and I liked the setup. Plastic on those too, but it seemed like better plastic than on the newer oneso.

I believe the Air 17 was the only early gun to get them but there might have been another that wasn't popular either... After they came out with them again in '01 there are several models that use them: 760, Powermaster 66 (or is it 664 now?), Recruit, Torrent, M4-177 and MK-177
The 66, Recruit, Torrent and M4-177 all use the same length pump stroke which is longer than the 760 (which is the same stroke as a 13XX), which is the same stroke as a MK-177 but it uses a larger diameter piston/valve

They might sound like a lot of work till you realize you only need 3-4 pumps for plinking.

The changed to the plastic receiver in 1983, and didn't use the 5 shot clips till 2001.

Yeah my 1984 760 was the first year for the plastic receiver. Had a longer barrel on the early ones than my later 2012 model also.

If you have one bucket that contains 2 gallons and another bucket that contains 7 gallons, how many buckets do you have?
