It can, but since the Prod magazines are different than the Mrod magazines, you'll be limited to single shot. It's asinine, IMO, that Crosman doesn't produce the Prod in .177. It's got the perfect energy level for that caliber...

well they kinda do, but it's a single shot and WAY more accurate.....1720T

My 1720 is way more accurate than my PRod (sold) and because it is a single shot, I am more careful with shot selection.
Only 11.3fpe (PFT) but I get 1/8" groups all day long at 25 yards and complete pass-through on rodents and tree squirrels.
