Trying to get chairgun working. Any ideas?

I installed chairgun on my Windows 7 64 bit machine after making certain that Java was up to date.  The problem is that chairgun is looking for a 32 bit JDK on my 64 bit OS.  I guess chairgun is 32 bit.

Any suggestions?

I have Win 10, 64 bit,  updated from Win 7, no problems at all. Try Googling the exact error message to see if there are solutions.

Try running it in "compatibility mode." Windows help can explain how.

Probably you're getting the error where it can't find the java JRE.

Check that you have java installed.

Then create a chairgun.bat file with the following contents adjusted to your directories:

SET EXE4J_JAVA_HOME "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_201\bin"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\ChairGun4\ChairGun4.exe"

(x86) is the 32-bit version of Java chairgun wants.
