Scope Eye Relief

I need to move my scopes back because I don't get the full view unless I move my head closer.
I know it's because of my eye glasses. Right now I want to take care of my 125. My scopes are 1" tubes. This scope is a Hawke Sport Optics Vantage 2-7x32 AO Rifle Scope.

Anyone use an offset mount and which one?

the length of pull on the 125s is pretty serious. I am just able to get proper eye relief without glasses with a really long full size scope without a set back mount. I was sent a pair of compact 3x12x44 with 30mm tubes and they were not long enough, the full size is just right. Will need a cantilever mount for sure with a smaller scope.

Tim, I don't even try to get 22's in town. I know they won't ship to Illinois. That's why the push to get one while I am here in Texas. If I wait longer I'll be in the no ship zone.

I may have to get a 177, 125 sniper and run heavy pellets. I got a post up trying to get some FPS with heavy pellets.

Kevin I know but it is a 177. Thanks for the mount info. I didn't know if it was strong enough for the 125.

I ordered the utg offset air rifle mount with my 125 knowing about the eye relief issue.

If you're worried about that offset scope mount moving, you can always try one of the Sun Optics recoil stops. They come well recommended by Jeff at Trenier and not expensive and sit low enough they'll mount under the back end of that offset.

NCStar makes weaver to picatinny mounts.  Picked one up at local gun/sports shop for $11. One of the two clamp pins is cut in half and other full to fit in one of the Hatsan weaver grooves.  The picatinny allows you to mount the scope far back for eye relief. These Hatsan are notorious for long stock. Nobody uses the spaces to make them longer.

It doesn't show up well in photos but the direction of mount will change how far back it will sit on the Hatsan. There is a difference if you use a rear weaver or the furthest back forward groove. This one sits further back using the second forward groove.

I just mounted a Ncstar 2-7×32mm long eye relief scope on my Striker 1000th last night and was amazed at the view with it mounted forward on the dovetail. I will post a picture when I get back from my VA appointment.

How bad is your eye sight?  Try shooting with them off and adjusting the diopter on you scope.
Do you wear your glasses when you look through binoculars?

I could probably shot using the scope without glasses, but I wouldn't be able to see the squirrels to shoot at. I'll get an off set mount.
