I was out on my lunch break today on the phone with a guy who needs some ground squirrels removed. While I was talking to him about taking care of his problem I noticed a deer mouse feeding about 10 feet away from me
I talked to the guy about 4 more min and when I got off the phone the deer mouse was still sitting there eating so I did what any of you guys would have done..... I ran back into work and grabbed my S10
I had to pull the scope cam off my Mrod and throw it on the S10 real quick so I didnt take much time in setting it up so this isnt my best scope cam video. I got the scope cam on, cocked the S10, lased the mouse and he was 33 yds away. I had an awkward rest and I was rushing because that mouse had already been out there eating in broad daylight for a long time. I had no idea how much time I had left and I wasnt going to let this shot slip away. Im not sure if this mouse had anything wrong with it but it had a large sore on its back and the end of the tail had an area that looked like something was wrong. It sat there in the wide open while I walked right by it and then stayed there after I noticed it and was on the phone so it seemed like something wasnt right.

Deer mice are pretty brazen and will not run away if they don't feel threatened. I've seen them on the side of the road during heavy traffic just foraging.
By the way, good shot.

Nice shot! What scope are you using? The reticle almost looks like those on .223 scopes.
