Mike is an awesome guy. Call him up. I have an Mrod  and a Condor SS in .25 cal.  I wanted a good reliable springer. Went thru three German guns then finally bought the XS25 in .22 cal after Mike assured me it would shoot lights out after full tune.  DANG if he wasn't right. 754 FPS with .16 gn HN terminator. 3/8 inch at 10 yds, 3/4 inch at 20 yds, and about an inch at 25 yards.  And, the reworked trigger is too good to be believed. Bottom line...you must spend the $100 for the full tune. Under Mikes guiding hand a Chinese mediocre gun goes to best in class, and outshines the Germans! Have fun shopping.

I pulled the trigger on a tuned XS28 and a scope from Mike.  It is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.  I can barely contain my excitement...heh!

Moddy, I think you are going to really like that version. Please do us a favor and review your shooting experience with it.  It's a magnum springer, the XS25 is a medium powered springer. I was considering purchasing XS28 but didn't. I'm very curious about what you think of the "big brother". Thanks.

I'll be more than happy than to share my experiences.  I'm at work right now, and this waiting until I'm off to get home thing is driving me nuts

I just placed an order for a XS28M in .22 with a full tune. Don't know when I'll be receiving it, but I am quite excited about it.

I already have experience shooting a Hatsan 125 Vortex. As long as the XS28M is not any harder than that, I think I can handle it! The idea of a long-range self-contained piston rifle intrigues me, although I do understand the shooter has to learn and practice a lot to realize the potential of the rifle.

Sac target, agreed that springers take some getting used to. I've put many rounds through Mike's tuned XS25 and I'm finally confident of taking a head shot out to 20-25 yards off my knee. I can't put my finger on it, but there is something about the feel of that shot, muscles relaxed, gun secure but not clinched, knowing that it's going to lurch and return back to your aim point. If I miss the group I'll often notice that the scope is aiming at or close to the unintended POI after the shot.  PCPs provide a shooting experience that is much less Zen-like.
