OK... let me start off with saying I am a new member. Recent buyer of a 1377 for the upgrade / mod potential. Posted an intro an have been digging here for info every since. I do plan on my next purchase being a Crosman steel breech with the integral dovetails.

I have been searching here for every way of wording I can can come up with to find a match grade rear sight.
I have no interest in the LPA MIM unless someone can convince me otherwise. What I really want is something like the factory sight on the 2300S described as...

but Crosman does not list it in the 2300S parts breakdown. (show me please!)

And when I search for application of what I believe is the same Williams sight, I see there are fitment / adjustment issues "horizontally" on the 13XX.
I also am looking at the MATCH GRADE REAR SIGHT offered by Alchemy AirWerks, a sponsor here I know.

But I see other vendors have discontinued this sight due to returns...but I am really leaning towards this and understand the need for a higher front sight. Is it a height issue with the front sight, or is there any other QC concerns? No bashing please, I am just trying to get an honest, real world input why others have pulled this off the shelf. I want it.

Next on the list is the Williams WGRS-54 ... DING DING DING... I think we have a Winner!

Filing the dove tail on the sight to fit the Crosman steel breech is not an issue, I am well versed in hand tools and have diamond files in a variety of shapes / sizes (micro).
I also understand I may need to add to the height of the factory front blade, or go with a muzzle break with the raised pin, to be mandatory with any of the choices I have found. But that is already in the future.

Can any one shed light on the pros / cons of any of my selections for my application?
Is there something I am over looking along the realms of a match grade rear sight for this 13XX?
I have no interest in a red dot or scope... I am an iron sight guy as long as these old eyes can stand up to the task.

Maybe I'll just pick up a set of Ruger Mk II match rear sights I am already used to from my (gasp) 22/45 bull barrel target pistol.
They the seemto be low level enough that I would not have to extend the front sight to get it in view.

I dont mind a peep.. but dunno, looks way too tall for my pistol application.

That number you have is on this page. Says it fits dovetail receiver.

Nope, that number you have is a ghost ring fire sight.

You'll have to call them. But yeah, they're not cheap.

here's the williams notch sight. 100% better than that alchemy chinese thing. but pyramid has it also.

on the peeps. not the best for pistols. however they do offer a high line of sight, like in your pic, and a low line if sight.

kj: Thanks for the suggestion. I saw that one on pyramydair, the second review is what shied me away from it for my application though.

which to me, sounds like you cant lower it enough, so a higher front sight (as in a pin on a muzzle brake) would correct... no?

If you can't lower the rear sight, you can raise the front sight with a Crosman muzzle brake with sight pin (or any aftermarket brake with a sight pin, for that matter). You'll need a longer barrel as well, but I would think you would want that anyway for the longer sight radius.

the 13xx had the same problem with the stock rear sight. as suggested a taller front sight is needed. there used to be aftermarket barrel bands with sights available. i like to use mr. don cothrans (cothran machine shop) rear sight holder. thought he sells it as a rear sight holder, it's great for front sights. it has a 3/8 or 11mm rail like a breech, and also a cross cut 3/8 dovetail. there are a big bunch of front sights that will fit this set-up. only 19bux for the sight holder. here you can see some available sights.

Amazon has a front sight (fiber optic) that is higher than the stock one and goes on the same way
I use it with the LPA mim rear and 18 inch barrel AWESOME combo

Works great for me!!!

The best front sight I have found to work with the LPA MIM rear sight is the OEM 760 front sight.
