Gamo CFX Worth Tuning?

I acquired an older Gamo CFX .177, with the metal trigger and polished rotating breech.  Besides replacing the trigger with a GRT-III, is there anything else worth doing to this particular gun?

I would wait until you shoot it to see how it sounds.  If she twangs you can easily stop that.  If she is shooting too slow, a new spring can be gotten

No twang believe it or not, just a solid thud and some recoil. Don't think it's slow, but I don't have a chrono.

Trigger def has to go though. I'm used to shooting 1/2 lb triggers on my pcp's.

The CFX's are solid shooters with a tune I have a older model in .22. Many a Bandit and other critters have fell under it's spell. Ed

Complete Degrease, polished the compression chamber, 600 grit wet/dry paper, installed an E3650 spring, Tesla Seal custom fitted top hat and guide.

Any and all springers are worthy of a de-bur and a lube tune.  A spring and a seal, plus enough tar and moly for a dozen rifles, cost less than fifty bucks.  And it can transform even the roughest and cheapest gun into a totally different experience- yet even the best and most expensive ones still reap a noticeable benefit.  Money well spent.

That's what I've looked into doing. What's the better option for the CFX: Vortex PG2 tune kit or the Air Rifle Headquarters Gamo Express package?

I would just pick the e3650 spring at ARH and the proper sized piston seal to fit it, along with a small container of moly and tar.  The Gamo express package is not necessary.

Edit- I think vortek pg2 is probably overkill.  It isn't exactly a twang-beast, even just a dab of tar on the stock spring with no other changes will yield a benefit.  ARH is the answer for this one.
