GTA Forums continues to grow by 10-20 new members daily. Each application for membership is checked and approved or rejected by a member of your administration team. David, Richard and I do this to prevent spammers and to make certain the software does not reject valid members. No system is foolproof but manually verifying has worked really well for us of years. But with the growth we continue to see, there is need to expand the management team.
First off, I want to announce a long overdue promotion. David (Rocker1) has been a member here from the beginning. He and I were the closest friends (excluding Bob) to Gene. We talked daily and have been on staff together for a long time. David knows the vision for GTA that Gene had and passed along to me. Gene and I were Yen and Yang, good cop, bad cop. We talked, discussed and disagreed almost daily. But that is what made us a good team, we counter balanced each other on forum issues. David and I are the exact same way. We argue like an old married couple, daily. My apologies for not moving him up to the seat after we lost Gene. But David has been doing the job without any need of the title. He has earned it. So, I would like to proudly announce that David (Rocker1) has been officially given the title he certainly should have, that of GTA Forums Executive Administrator. Thank you my friend for all you have done and will continue to do for our forum!!!
Congrats David. Gene is certainly smiling down at this.
The admin team has been short handed for a while now. Joe (jonnnyboy) has been very involved with his increased work load and has had some very tough personal times to deal with. He said he could not focus and give to GTA what it deserves during this time. So he respectfully asked to step down from the position of Administrator. I hope and pray Joe succeeds in getting control of the work situation and he has the time and desire to return to his GTA family. His position will definitely be here awaiting him when he is ready.
In the mean time, another member has stepped forward to give of their time to your forum. I would like to proudly announce the additions of Dan (Bubba Zanetti) to your admin team. Dan is a great guy and will be a good addition to the team. With his help, along with all of your staff, we will continue to keep GTA Forums on track. Thanks Dan and David.
Please join me in thanking and congratulating these two for stepping forward all for all they do for your forum!!!

My condolences, guys. It's a thankless job most of the time, but necessary to keep a well oiled machine like GTA operating smoothly. Been there, done that on another forum, and while rewarding, I'm glad to be on the Indian side rather than the Chiefs.

FWIW, I'm thankful for a great run forum. It a rarity to find such dedication. Well done!
