Too much pressure for the current spring. 2700-2750 is the optimal fill with the current spring.

From that string, it looks like you could either fill to a much lower pressure and hit the peak earlier (fewer shots overall than the long string you posted), or you need a stronger hammer strike and still get a more shallow bell curve, lots of shots, with higher FPE.

His string was with a 110 gr bullet. So it's peaking at 175 fpe, that's pretty good power.

Same here, so I fill to about 2800-2850. In fact, when I fill to 3000, accuracy is a bit erratic.

I have a .177 Daystate PH6 that can be filled to 207 bar. If I fill her to the 207 my first 12 or so shots are much slower fps than later in the shot string. Too much air I guess, less is better, I get great results at 200 bar or less. That may be your deal with your Ace, Man that gun is gorgeous!!! I hope someday I can find one. I've read heard good things about the Ace airguns.

As soon as I can I'll get some numbers on the 95 grain pellets and accuracy at the 2800 fill and post the results. After that, I'll tune the spring and hammer and run some new numbers. My washers are getting ordered tonight.

I agree. I'd like to be at 2800 with a little more spring. I'm looking to get close to 200 ft lbs with 110 -115 grain without beating the valve to death. I hunt with mine so I don't need a whole lot of shots, but I'll take them if I can get them. They are beautiful! I'm very blessed to have been able to get them both. Im having a similar stock made for my ds I liked them so much. I have one more on my list..never enough it seems;)

Concerning the .25 ace,... I'm considering the new rat sniper .45 grain, 43 and 50 Mr. Hollowpoint, and some 40 and 50 from john the camper. I shot rat snipers in my a2a marauder and they were accurate and devastating, but not sure how they will fit the ace's bore. Korean barrel, it may be .251. The kodiacs and the eunjin's were accurate, I'm just wondering if I can get better longer range ballistics. I would not hesitate to take a coyote or head shot a hog with this gun even now.

Has anyone converted the stock filler probe fitting into a male foster fitting? If so, will the standard male foster fitting work? TIA!

I personally have not. My .25 and the 9 came already modified. My ds and Jkhan are standard and I have to be careful to keep a little silicone grease on the probe and make sure I'm careful with the O rings when filling. Maybe someone else that has the ace has done the mod to theirs and will chime in.

Finally home after weeks on the road. Getting the ace .25 ready for shooting some pellets over the chrony tomorrow. While on the road I ordered a Sumatra revolver mag to see if it would fit, but it is way short. I only have one and cannot find another one so far. This is the apex 330 sold over seas, so I may try to order one from a dealer and see if I can have it shipped here. I will post some shot strings tomorrow, but I have a feeling its nearly the same power as the Sumatra .25. I have some hunters supply 49 grain on the way and if my 32 grain rat snipers work out tomorrow, I may order his 45 grain as my hollow points.

one thing that stops me from getting alot more PCP' riffles is they have o- ring style fill probes , Im a big fan of foster fittings since i bought my Recluse , and couldnt get decent fills due to fussy proprietary probes. I instantly found a foster adapter for the Recluse and am so happy i did , are their foster kits for theses and other PCPs that still have the o- ring probes?

Pyramid air sells the air venturi fitting but im not sure how many different guns it will fit. Sure saves a lot of hassle.

The Sumatra .25 is hellaciously loud. How loud is the Ace .25? And how loud is the Ace .35?

Both of mine came with an ldc, and Ive never shot them without them. The .35 is definitely louder than the .25 of course. Im going to get my tank filled again tomorrow and will be shooting the .25. Ill have to try them without the ldc just for fun. I downloaded a decibel meter tonight, so I may check them tomorrow. I don't know how accurate it will be but maybe it will give me some idea.

.35 on the top, .25 on the bottom. The .35 looks similar to evanix, while the .25 looks more like a Sumatra style.

I got a few minutes of range time this evening with my ace .25. I have to drive 50 miles to get my tank filled and 50 miles back home. Daylight was fading so I shot some over the chrony quick. Both of these pellets proved to be accurate when shooting them a few weeks ago. Two six round clips each, except the barracuda's, 11 rounds. I think I can go on up to 2900 with the .25 where as the .35 experiences progressive valve lock.
Decibel reading was 94 with my app meter. (however accurate that is)
