Terrible but fun shooting pellets

Ever get pellets you know shoot lousy with low accuracy and short range is the only "longrange" there is to be had?
I love my hollowpoints. All of them are terrible compared to my domed favorites but wow what a blast to plink with. Some of the gaping entry holes and ballooned channels through clay for example is an interesting study in terminal ballistics. RWS Super Hollowpoints literally blows it's hollow point head of left behind in the impact channel as a silvery ring. Beeman Silverbear makes one surprisingly ballooned entry hole but runs out of gas printo. It spends all its energy or the most explosive on the surface while the RWS superhollow point has a delayed energy release within . Beeman Crow magnums being a much heavier pellet than either mushrooms terrifically but doesn't blow apart . More powerful guns will get that result but my RX2 either has it wildly mushroomed or opened up like the head of the pellet is a micro bird bath. And there's Logan Penetrators, true to advertising these things penetrated like no other pellet ive ever shot. It was a marked improvement not needed but again a fine study in projectile design. The Penetrators do away with the diabolo wasp waste that collapses under pressure and instead kept this area strong and full, therefore mushrooming was g ed ld to a minimum and this thing bored deep into clay, wax, wood... you name it, it won. But, it shot like &^^&. Other guys had good luck here but my RX2 through this like buckshot. Truly, here was a fun pellet to plink with but it never made it to hunting season. Even the other hollow points with their 25 yard accuracy range took game, but these guys just hit fun plinking stuff. I get as much Penetrators out if my domes. Now I've got these pellets in the wings waiting to be shot through my RX2 for the first time, it's those snazzy hot capable looking POLYMAGS. Will they shoot good or be plinking only pellets? At the very least I know they'll be fun and their uniqueness in the pellet market alone was the price of admission.
Fun things I may never shoot - nothing steel obviously. I've seen some homebrewed hollow points tipped with steel...all well and good but if it ever seperates at kick off, it'll kill my barrel. Then there's these hyper fast/light pellets , I think Gamo makes them. I have concerns here that these superlight pellets despite blazing muzzle velocity is actually detrimental to the spring, seals or gasram and seals. A heavier pellet buffers the potential violence of an oversped springer/gas system and a continued violence at that.
Just my thoughts, how bout you guys?
Pete

I actually have a tin of the Predator Polymags, got them to try in my Umarex Fuel and they shot pretty lousy, target looked like I used buckshot on it and they got buried under the H&N's.
Then I got the XS25 .22 from Mike Melick and figured what the heck, lets try some, I'm testing pellets anyway. Was pretty shocked when i was getting a little over 1 inch groups at 30 yards so get some....you might actually get your own surprise and they'll shoot well in your rifle.
