It's a pretty straight forward question. Do they drastically out perform your typical Walmart fare? I'd like to hear your opinions and experiences regarding match grade pellets.
3 1/2"x3 1/2" steel plate. Distance is 218'. I do quite well at hitting this target, at this distance. I'm going for a "perfect" 10 out of 10. To date the best I've done, has been 7 in a row. I'm usually good for 4 in a row.
Thanks for the responses guys. The pellet rifle is one I've had for years. I hadn't really shot more than 500 rounds through it, till about a year and a half ago. Since then I've put thousands through it. I really couldn't hazed a guess. 9-11 tins a month. It was a cheap way to get some trigger time. And not have to leave the porch! Well at first it (not good). Or maybe, I (not good). I couldn't tell. But I was determined to find out. Thousands of pellets later; my Crosman Storm XT is a darling. Either I broke her in; or she broke me. Either way. We shoot much better than I might expect, if I'd only read about it.For the longest time, I was using Crosman Premier Hollow Points. I thought they were pretty okay. My best string was 4. And 3's came pretty regularly. Then; (and this is a story in and of itself) I got some RWS Superdome, 8.3gr. pellets. At that point this pellet gun "came alive". I still think with my new scope; she'll give me my 10.
