Crosman 3100?

I just pulled my old Crosman 3100 out of a back cabinet. I bought this thing about 30 years ago and was so un-impressed with it's performance, I never really did much with it. Now that I'm all full of myself from lubing my RWS 34 and not screwing it up, I thought I might tear into the 3100 and see what's inside, and what I can do with it.
Anybody ever play with these old rifles?
Oh, I posted this here because it says "Made in Spain" on the receiver.
Ron.

I remember those Crosman 3100, possibly a rebranded Gamo. They also had another model a Crosman branded Anshutz 335 which I bought. Can't remember the model number, Crosman 6500?. It had a very twangy mainspring which is why I sold it. Now I wish I had kept it. It would be a nice project to tune, now that I am very familiar with making my own piston seals and springs.

I may be wrong on this but I think the Chinese B12 is modeled after the 3100. Pretty good compliment since the China products are usually modeled after good products.

The Crosman 3100 was made by Cometa. I think it was the Cometa 100.

it is a cometa. I found one and did a little lube tune jobbie on it and mine became nice and smooth, like a poor man R7. trigger can be made a bit smoother but still is not great. RWS hobbies at 598 fps but the most important thing is that it will make little tiny clusters out to 20 yards, and i mean little as in 3/8 or less. cuts dandelions down by the stem. Now hush... its my little secret and i dont want everyone to go on a searching frenzy and raise prices... by the way, if you get tired of yours, let me know. I'll buy it.

I recently noticed that in Germany they have a brand called TELL. And these air rifles are actually Cometas made in Spain, right?
