My first time.
Had a great time met a lot of nice folks.
Good food, good time and just plane fun.
Got a chance to see some great guns and some fine shooters.
I'm also planning on next year and will join the shooters.
Sorry for those that missed it. Hope to see you all next year.

Another excellent event. A great way to increase camaraderie, meet people with same interest, and send a lot of lead downrange. Just completed a 11 hour drive home.

Wonderful to have the excellent vendors present. Ben from steel plinker's had a exceptional set of targets and let people use his dueling tree. There was a lot of lead thrown at the tree and the only thing changeo was all of the orange paint was missing after a few hundred rounds.

Dave from R . Arms Innovations had his excellent Teryx stocks and butt adapters. Very impressive upgrade to the Marauder rifles.

Stayed quite busy with target sales and didn't do as much trigger time as I would have liked Friday when the weather was nice.  Too bad Saturday's weather was a bit poor, but the food made up for it!

A big thanks to all who purchased targets from us, you are all fully responsible for enabling me to bring home a new toy I picked up from Arnold, a cool AA TDR. 

Thanks again to all who helped organize this, we will be sure to attend the next one!



As for the Ramada, It wasn't as poor as I expected for $70/night.  It seems hard to find actual good places to stay, we had low expectations going in.  Our room was pretty clean and nicer than what I expected.

I know you "planned" to be the first person there but I can't help it if you have a slow van.  I did sit around waiting for you so you could call me every name in the book for beating you and I have to thank you for letting me take the first shot also.

Guess you could call that a first times 2.

Try to beat me to it next year if you dare.  Do some engine work to pick up some speed.

I'm still here, helped restore everything to the way it was prior to the onslaught:D and was even able to throw some more lead down range. Will be heading back home tomorrow AM.

This was my first one and planning to attend next year. It was nice meeting everyone and being able to put faces to names. Great bunch of people. Thanks to all who organized and staffed it. The weather wasn't the greatest but I had a great time regardless. Would also like to thank the vendors that helped me lighten my wallet, it's nice to be able to see what you are buying first hand.

Hey Ben, if you want to drive a few hours there will be a very informal fun shoot in toledo IL on Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday).  Take off your business hat and shoot at stuff!  Look under IL shooting events and contact BobH for more information.

Another great event! This is the 5th Fun Shoot I have attended, and again, good people and good times.  Even for a hide-in-the-corner,  non-people-person like me, it was easy to make friends and talk, or just hang back and watch, or just sit down and shoot.  I am not going to try and mention names 'cause I'll certainly forget folks, but I will say that the organizers managed to keep all the riff-raff  out, except that wack-job MichaelM     managed to sneak in some how, ha, ha.  I don't think Michael has ever met a stranger, LOL.  He and a few other "talkers" made sure there were never any awkward  periods of silence.      And, after driving 10 hours,  I met Marty2 and find out we only live one hour from each other.  Airgunners hiding out everywhere!  And even with the fickle weather, it was always easy to find plenty of smiles and laughter.

I have to give the biggest thanks to the number one man there, Dez, for the countless hours he puts into the GTA to carry on the legacy of Gene and Bob.  And to his wonderful wife Teresa, for not only putting up with all the hours that go into the GTA, but for helping so much herself with the GTA.  And I never once heard her say "darn airgun bums."   

If Hargis is inviting us all back next year, I'll sure as heck be there again.

"Bertha" served at least 2 purposes. I think that's the name isn't it Hargis?
Anyway, to move the barricades he has that he uses to cordon off areas of the fairgrounds and also served to block the roadway to prevent folks from actually driving around into the line of fire.

 Scott, and I want to thank everyone for their hospitality. Other than the weather not cooperating,  we had a great time. Plinking range was nice, targets were plentiful.  Hope I didn't offend anyone with my LOUD .58 Outlaw pistol   Next year I will have it hushed up some.
 I really enjoyed talking with everyone, y'all are a righteous group of fellow airgunners.
 Lloyd, I especially liked picking your brain, would like to pick it more asap. You are a treasure trove of knowledge.

 The Central Ohio Airgunners will be back next year, I will come down earlier and help with setup and what not. Might even have a new built .257 Mrod to play at 340 yds !!!

Another one done and over.... to many names to call out everyone directly but it was an amazing time like always.... The ONLY damper on the fun was the weather but even it didnt stop the fun!!!

Would like to again thank Hargis for donating the time and place and all the work you put into getting the fairgrounds ready for us!!! and of course Dez for keeping the GTA going and the annual shoot alive and kicking!!!

Another big personal thanks go to Lloyd and QVtom for putting up with my constant antics but someone had to get lloyd out of his corner and bust his chops some ...

Tom for providing the after hours hangout spot at his camper and pauly for those amazing meatball sandwiches again (I learned that his red sauce isn't called sauce but gravy......and will be assured to remember to ask for extra gravy next year ) also for the amazing shredded pork that Hargis and Dez got going.... didnt have any during the supper but MAN it made for a great late night face stuffing!!! ( had a full plate piled high with BBQ and rolls and ate till I was bursting!!)

Also Tom,Bob,Marty,Jeff for helping with tearing down the tents and range cleanup on sunday!! was also a great couple hours shooting with Marty even though he wouldn't stop bragging about his 7 paintballs he shot in a row at 50 yards AFTER the paintball challenge was over with.... (seriously he did and really didnt brag ... and was a good sport about me busting his chops over it)

and of course ALL the vendors that showed up and donated tons of stuff for the raffles and ALL of the rest of EVERYONE that showed up!! without all the awesome people that came to shoot and brave the weather the fun shoot wouldnt be the awesome event of camaraderie and fun that it always is!!!

Sorry the post went long again but I havent ever been known to be short on words and I could write a novel and still not fully express the gratitude and fun that all of these awesome people bring to these events!!

I to would like to give a big thumbs up to all involved and a big thank you. The venue was excellent the food was top notch (the meatballs were killer!) and everyone that was there were great people to meet. I just wish that after cleaning and lubing a fresh tin of pellets and carefully packing up everything that I hadn't left the fill probe and mags for the Vulcan sitting on the workbench. A big thank you to all and we will see you next year.
