Yes, I cock it first and I've put Pell-gun oil on the wiper on the pump arm but still no joy. It was completely dry when I got it and I had to oil the bolt to get it to move. When I open the pump arm all the way I can hear air being (not good) into the compression tube. I cannot hear where it's leaking out when I pump it though. I'm guessing the seals are dry rotted. When I first saw pictures of 101's they looked "clunky" or awkward. But when I finally saw and handled one that an acquaintance owned, I knew I had to have one. They actually are elegant rifles. He has three and they needed seals too. They looked great though and had a shiny black finish. Mine has a kinda grayish colored finish that I don't particularly care for but it's growing on me. Besides if it ain't broke don't fix it.
