My 3 Hatsan 95 vortex

first i want to say, i love these vortex 95s, in my opinion they are beautiful air rifles and the best bang for the buck. they not only shoot hard but surprisingly accurate. the open sights are a welcomed  edition for this rifle nice and bright, easy to adjust. in the last 2 weeks ive only been shooting the hatsans. so far between the 3 rifles i have close to  1800 pellets down range in the last week or so the triggers can be adjusted to feel a little smoother and less draw weight. for the average hunter/shooter and for under 200.00 its a great little rifle
                            i dont have a chronograph yet but its on its way along with a 125 in  25 cal.  if  a hunter does his part i believe one could harvest squirrel in the 25 yard  to 30 yard range with plenty of power to spare the only negative i found was the scope rings. the optima scope will be ok for now
   i believe the 25 is compared  to the 22s.

Yep, the Vortex model has a gas piston, the standard 95 has a steel spring.

One inch. It is not the greatest (not AO), but might as well use it until something better comes along. I'd suggest shooting the first 50 or so shots with the open sights, as it will likely diesel for a while as the factory machine oils burn off. This can be hard on a scope. After the gun settles down go ahead and mount the scope.

I also have all three 95 Vortex models. Here's some chronograph data for the .22 & .25 if you're interested. Also, the scopes  on all three have failed. I have one replacement scope from Hatsan, and need to get two more. I'm going to try to buy an upgraded scope from them, but I'm thinking they'll be interested. They gave me a ration of baloney with the first one, so it will probably be another fight with them. I have two Centpoint AO scopes on the .22 & .25 guns, but nothing for the .177.





Yes, the scope rings are also junk. I have these on all my Hatsans...

As stated 1 inch, ill use them until failure. the advice for shooting them 50 times is great advice. i found compared to other air rifles i have the Hatsans break in pretty quick compared to other air rifles

In the 70's when dad was stationed in Germany we could fly Air Force cargo jets all over for free and Adana was a major hub. Been there 6 times. Once we couldn't get a flight out via the Air Force so dad had to buy commercial seats at the Adana air port. The terminal had a dirt floor w/goats in it.

Joe, how was the accuracy of the 30 grain .25 cal pellet/ ill bet it thumps things pretty hard. the 19.91 shoot good out of my 25 but am looking to try other pellets as well

My .25 shoots the JSB Exact King Diablo 25.39, H&N Crow Magnum 26.23 and H&N Baracuda Hunter Extreme 28.40 very well.  Also finally got an undamaged tin of the Vortex 19.91's so I'll finally get a chance to try them out....don't buy pellets from Midway, they ship lousy and you get damaged tins and pellets, Airgun Depot or PA ship them very well packaged.
