Gene, a fellow named Bruno Xeriotti on an argentine forum converted a Fenix 400 to gas ram.
that would great, gene. i've got 2 gas rams coming for the trail xl that i plan to try in some guns. i have a .22 94 that shoots a very smooth 765 w/ cphp's and a solid 745 fps w/ FTT's. i would love to have it shooting closer to 800 or 20 ftlbs. it's probably the gun i shoot the most. very easy to cock, accurate as heck, not too heavy (maybe 8 lbs w/ small scope), no cheapo plastic-feeling recoil......and get this.....you can usually find a m94 for around $150. i have a m94 in .177 that averages 950 fps w/ cphp's and shoots just as smooth. i gave another to one of my best friends and his averages 940 fps and his is VERY accurate (or maybe he's just a better shot). i love these things so much that i got a new .22 fusion from rich lynch. it's breaking in better now, but still disappoints on the power level. it feels about a pound lighter than the .22 m94, but it shoots a tad slower than the 94. the factory specs show it to shoot faster than the fenix 400 (same gun as rws m94) by 25 fps. i asked rich to get a new spring and piston seal for the fusion.....because.....i KNOW there is a way to get 20-21 ftlbs out of these light-weight springers. i searched all over for that discontinued E9870 macarri spring. rich mentioned his .22 fusion that you did for him shot well over 800 fps and it's supposed to have this E9870 spring in it. i use the .22 94 for hunting when i'm not using the disco. i need a cometa that does 20 ftlbs or greater. so, let me know how i can help. - paul d self. http://raneair.webs.com .
