need help on a upgrade

I would like to upgrade my mainspring in my crosman fury 2blackout it at 695 fps I would like it at about 1000 if anyone can help me thanks in advance

With that model along with most other rifles it's size it is impossible to gain much if any real speed with any spring change. The gun is limited by the volume of air in the chamber, no spring can make up for what isn't there. A longer/stiffer spring will just make it recoil/kick harder and possibly damage the gun along with the shooter.

According to Airgun Depot, the Fury 2 blackout is suppose to be a 1200 fps gun (with PBA ammo): http://www.airgundepot.com/crosman-tr77-177-caliber-air-rifle.html

If the spring and/or the seal is bad that could explain the problem.  Get an E3650 or Tarantula spring  and a new Tesla or Small Appex from Air Rifle Headquarters and tune it up....

There's two models on it mine is 695fps that's cuz I live in IL. And I can't buy anything over 750fps I'll try and post you some pics of the box and manual when I get home from work thax for the reply tho

You can probably purchase the appropriate spring from Crosman to go from one to the other, but your port size may be reduced to limit the airflow.  The spring could be the same.  I don't know how they implement the power reductions.

Illinois has changed the law. You can get .177 over 1000fps.

Sorry I was thinking of a different model and was thinking about the chamber volume.

I don't know your laws for AG's but I know of a couple other gun brands and models that the manufacture does not change any parts, they drill a small hole in the piston end. I fixed a gun for a neighbor kid that had a bad seal and it had a small hole drilled in the end so even with a new seal was around 450 fps. Older English gun been a few years don't remember the brand. I just took my mig welder and put a Zap over the hole, filed it down flat and it shot 650'ish fps. For a simple easy fix I would check for a hole first, maybe someone on here knows if that's what they do?

Yeah I'll have to check that I'll do a teardown today and see if there's a little hole thanks for the info

I didn't know that knervie the gun I was going to buy was .22 maybe that's why I couldn't get it

There was a drill hole in the piston that gave me more power when fixed but unfortunately when I was fix that my kid got ahold of my trigger and I can't digger out where the springs go to make it work again

So how does it shoot now with the hole plugged? Those kind are a easy fix, could add a washer or two on spring end to compress it a little, just don't get to carried away.

It shoots perfect thanks for the tip when I want more power I'll just upgrade the spring
