I’d recommend an open reflex type. At your distance 2 or 3 MOA will be fine.  Check out this video on how to sight in a Red Dot.  The last part is about Red Dots

It was my first ever RD and was mounted atop my 1377. Killed lots of rats that feasted on my banana and fruit trees (Philippine setting) with that combo. I still have it back home.

That has red & green.  Do you find that you use both colors?  The optics at least in the photo do not appear to be coated the same as just the CV Life red dot only.  They look amber instead of clear.  Does that really matter?  Any reason why one is clear and the other is amber?

Yes the color options are nice in different light and background conditions. Coatings are there to help with the optics.

The type of RD doesn’t really matter, although a smaller size dot, 2-3 MOA, is better for more “precision”, but reducing the illumination level does help reduce its perceived size in a way.

The BSA kinda looks goofy, lol! To reiterate, it was my 1st ever and it worked very well, but I have since graduated to more expensive ones.

I have a Hawke Vantage 1x20 that I've put on a 2300S, 2289 and 1300KT all have Crosman steel breech. It's a great RD for the money.

OK, I think I may be done. Here is what I've done so far:
1. Sanded and polished the trigger parts. 
2. Added the adjustable trigger spring
3. opened the ports on the valve and barrel and added the modified transfer port
4. Upgraded to the AirGunMods Picatinny breech
5. Added the BuckRail LDC
6. Changed pump arm pivot pin
7. Added Pinty Red Green Reflex scope  Pinty Red Green Reflex   I selected this one due to its compactness and adjustments on the side. Using the larger coin style battery is a + too.

Just got it sighted in. 

Trigger has a hard wall then releases.  I don't have a way to measure trigger pull but less would be nice.  I have the adjustable trigger spring set up as low as it will go.  I did add about 1/3 of a spent 22LR round as a top hat on the spring so it would sit on the bottom of the sear.  Before adding that the spring would either stay on the sear or it would bend and catch the back corner of the sear making the trigger inconsistent. I assume having less bend in the spring is why I have the adjuster bottomed out.  Before I bought the adjustable spring, I tried compressing the original spring and adding a full size spent 22LR round.  I didn't like it.

Would a super sear be beneficial?  I had one in a Benjamin 392 (no longer own) and it was great.  I've looked at the marauder trigger group and the 1701P trigger group but it seems the hammer would need to be replaced too or maybe the current gap filled in with JB Weld.  Can't find a video on the JB Weld modification.  Are the marauder and 1701P trigger groups the same just with different part #'s?

OK, I've ordered the p-rod frame and some JB Weld SteelStik to fill the groove in the hammer.  Probably be a couple weeks before I can get the hammer fixed and frame installed.

Probably should have ordered a PCP pistol for the $ I'm putting into this one.
