Amazon scope.....$50

Of course I decided the other day it would be nice to have another higher-powered scope with better glass than I'm using... sounds like everyone is very happy with these... even ordering more, what higher praise is there than that?

So, I may have missed out on the $50 deals, but I think the positive reviews here are worth the slightly increased prices I paid.  Should have one of each coming my way.  Given the scattered descriptions on Amazon -- one is listed as 1.5-6X but now it's magically transformed into a 3-15X -- hopefully they are close to the sizes and weights (and powers!) listed.

First impressions of the 3-15x44:

• Optics - Sight picture is bright and crisp and undistorted out to the edges.  Suprisingly good.
• Magnification - Not 15x...more like 10x, maybe 12x.  Either that or my other scopes set on 15x are actually 20x.
• Reticle - Very nice etched reticle with a fine floating center dot for precision target shooting and a generous ladder of aiming subtensions.
• Illumination - Nice range of brightness.  Most scopes don't go low enough and wash out the picture in very low light conditions.  The lowest level on this scope is just right.  Not crazy about having 11 levels to tap through.  Seems like 5 would have been plenty, keeping the max and min brightness as they are.
• Accessories - The included honeycomb sunshade was a nice surprise.  Also includes a conventional sunshade.  Use the one you prefer.
• Side focus - Mine was difficult to turn like Cyknife's, however the O-rings were not dry.  Actually slathered with a copious amount of what looked like silicone grease but I went ahead and cleaned it and relubed it and it moves noticeably more easily now.
