i have same problem...the wooden shelf along the stock inlet (on which the roller of the articulated cocking link travels during cocking)...that shelf may not be keeping the roller close enough to the compression tube...allowing the toe of the shoe to dig into the ram body...sure has dinged up my bushing also...i'm going to glue a strip of something from the hobby shop to raise that shelf...someday

@ cmjr most of all have fun with the rifle and shoot it alot! I deburred the inside of piston and also added a gas ram bushing from Gene @ airguntoyz to keep it all lighned up seems to be working well. You also may want to get the brass barrel washers as they raise the POI on my rifle quite a bit...
John let us know how that works out. I think the GRS will be a benafit also

Welcome to gta. A proper deburring is very crucial in a proper tune. There is a plethora of tuning info. As for the trigger, i have been very pleased with mine. Just take your time. There is no rush and when you do rush you will always mess up or forget something.
