Best 50 yard group in quite some time. World record???

Very impressive!  I couldn’t match that with my Win 52C bench rest rifle.  I’ve seen some .000 scores but that’s one shot at 20 yds, not 50!  Again, nice shooting.

The cup never moved??

The cup is weighted down. A tin of Crossman Premieres sitting on top. It does not move.
I'm at roughly 735 fps at 50 yards. The small projectile is hitting that cup at roughly 500 miles per hour.

Not only are you an excellent marksman, you are a frugal shopper with your target selections.  I'm gonna have to start drinking what you're drinking!  Great idea with the targets though.

I have searched the internet for 50 yard world record groupings with an airgun and can't find anything.
I have found some nice groups but nothing that comes close to the grouping I shot yesterday.
It's definitely a .0000 over 6 shots at 50.

It really wouldnt matter anyway because it wasn't witnessed and recorded.
Nonetheless , I'm pretty sure I have the unrecorded 50 yard world record with an airgun.
And that means 0.
Im screwed.

It's an unbelievable grouping , isn't it.
See, I kinna went thru this before with the 25 yard at caliber groupings.
That is until two other guys bought the same gun, and made a few at caliber holes at 25.
Now that I'm symbiotic with the gun, the 25 yard at caliber holes.........well, I can do that every now and ..........whenever I feel like it.
As mentioned, 50 yard at caliber holes are not typical , at all. Been doing this a long time and came splitting hair close on two other occasions.
Little luck, everything lining up, good technique, perfectly focused, it happened. But who am I to try to convince an old pro like you who has been doing this........for almost a year.

Yes, screamer groups like that are great. I started shooting bench rest years ago with a .222, and once shot a 100 group that, as close as I could measure, was .012", essentially one hole. But it was a non-registered club match, without moving backers, so there was no way to verify 5 shots.  But it's still exciting. Your group further strengthens my respect for the Regal XL. I have one in .22, bought primarily for hunting and plinking, and it shoots almost as well as couple of my other air rifles that cost over twice as much. I think it is the best value available in a precision quality rifle.

Lol! You could have at least offered him an old springer that would give him a real challenge to work with! I guess with the $20 maybe he could buy one and use the shoes for targets 😊
