Diana RWS 34 Question

Get the ..22 and have it shipped to Iowa

Why the .22?  I do have a friend that lives in WI who I could ship it to and he's only 10 minutes or so from me as I'm right on the border of IA and WI.  I was thinking of calling AOA to see if they have the .22 in stock or maybe a sooner turn around time then the .177.  Depending on how well I like the gun I may have to get it in both versions at the going price or get the opposite in the Diana 34.

Thanks for the input everyone.  I've decided to go with the HW95 .177.  I think I'd be happy with either gun but the $299 price tag seems to be a deal.  AOA is backoedered though and weren't sure when they would get them.  Heck, If it takes too long I might end up with a Diana 34 too as they seem to be readily available.

I was told today by a guy at AoA that those inexpensive HW 95s haven't even shipped from the factory and it may be another month before they know anything more...    No communication between the two?

My RWS 34p TO6 .177 had the longest trigger and was already adjusted as short as possible. I ended up replacing the adjustment screw with longer Allen ones. I always had to get closer to what I was shooting at be it a starling or squirrel. It was also to dang heavy I  had to rest it on something to steady it all the time. I ended trading it off for a disco .177. Now I don't own one springer but am PCP rich with PCP crosman Kit guns.

I don't like RWS's scopes, they don't have mildots and they aren't very durable. I've bought 4 hammer's 3-9 magnum airgun scope/mount set ups and have only had one fail (it was on a 350 magnum, but the replacement has held up great). Where as 2 out of 3 of the RWS scopes have failed.

Have to do an update on this comment, my 350 magnum just ate another hammers scope, so guess it isn't up to par with the 350 series rifles.
