Your Favorite scopes?

I agree with you about the Sightron vs Leupold. I've used a number of Leupolds shooting a friends guns and the Sightron is every bit as clear and I think the windage/elevation adjustments are more precise. My 6-24 AO mildot is as increadably clear at 24 power as it is at 6 power !!!!!

A few months ago, I called them and a Sightron tech told me that they have a couple of AG's they use to test their scopes on and that all their scopes are AG rated.  

I'm saving up to get a 3-12 Sightron for my Trail XL. The 3-9 AO CenterPoint that came on it looks exactly like an AirMax. It's a very nice scope that's held up fine to the powerful recoil of the XL, but I'd like a bit more small game/long range magnification for the Trail. Then I'll put the CenterPoint on my 22 gas Whisper, which has already trashed the Gamo 3-9, and a Leapers 3-9 MiniSwat.

My favorite AG scope is easily... Hawke Eclipse SF in 30mm.

I have several Hawkes now, and really like the AirMax series too. I also like their one-piece mount. Hawke is my AG brand of choice, but the side focus (and the 30mm tube) really spoiled me.

Not sure I could say total bullet proof but Hawke airmax are my favorite, I have one on a Diana 54 and no problems and also on a Diana 34. As for budget scopes I have had success also with 4-12x44ao bsa scope and the leapers 3-9x50ao

  I look REAL forward to getting that "new to me" Hawke mounted up too, tom..       Then i get the option of being a "i love my hawke" poster.

  Been wanting to check out a Hawke for a good long time, this trade lets me do just that without getting the next room over accountant fired up. The Accushot 30mm tube your getting is clear and bright, a fine scope i thought. The side wheel is a real nice feature as well. Chunky rascal though. That hawke should fit on the titan or phantom just perfectly.      J

Well the interesting thing about air gun scopes is you don't have to spend a lot of money (unless you want to) to get one that will suit your needs. For sure, top end scopes will have better glass and may be more durable than less expensive economy scopes but for a lot of airgunners who are just back yard plinkers and occassional hunters those economy scopes will usually get the job done. Over the years like most of you I have tried many scopes ranging from "cheap" to "expensive". Some I've liked some I didn't. One thing is certain though, accuracy problems in springers are often remedied by replacing  the scope. A scope that has impressed me for it's ability to do everything I need for even hard kicking magnum air rifles has been the Bushnell Sportsman 4X12X40 AO available at WalMart for $69.95. I'm not saying "it's the best" I'm just saying that for the price it's very good.I've enjoyed without complaint the Banner Series of scopes and the Trophy Series as well. I have a couple of $55.00 Barska 3X12X40 AO AirGun scopes that refuse to die on two of the hardest recoilers around: The Gamo Hunter Extreme and the Webley Patriot. Don't ask me why but they hold zero. I've used Hawke, Leapers,and CenterPoint as well but they have all had issues. A couple of years ago Midway USA and some other retailers had a sale on Leupold 6.5X 20X40 EFR scopes for the bargain price of $529. Well I only bought one but I wish now I had bought several. They sell today for $750+. I stuck that one on my TX where it will stay.

My favorite is the Leapers airgun rated TS(True Strength) 6-24x50AO.  But that wont fit on all guns because its long. Same with the Leapers 4-16x50AO.
I've had really good luck with the BSA 3-12x44AO airgun scopes, but they are not mildot reticles, but they fit on a good portion of my springers...not as long as the Leapers.

  I've got a 6x24 leapers too,  never been able to put it on anything because it's to long..    sure love to try it out though.

  What kind of guns are your BSA's ok on Davee? Anyone else like their BSA?

I have owned BSA air gun rated scopes since I started playing air guns.. They work great on all the Gamo, Crosman and most Chinese made barrel cockers.

I have also used the BSA 4-12-40 AO Mil Dots on my S1K's and never had a problem but that may be just my luck.. They are not AG rated.

BSA Stealth Tactical STS624X44 followed by CP 4-16x40AOIR.
The BSA I haven't had long but from the use so far, I love it. I've had and used CP scopes ever since my first Benji. Only had 1 that would not hold zero. Exchanged it at Wally World and no problem with it or any other CPs I have. Love them for the price.
OH, and glad to see you made the trip Richard. Sent you a couple of emails regarding the new site but never got a response. Thought you fell off the face of the earth there bud. And I understand the busy part!!!!
