Just how much does a TKO brake quiet the report of a Disco?

I got mine from a member years ago and put the TKO on right away, shot it and thought something was wrong ,seemed too quiet, took it off an it scared the you know what outa me, sounds like a 22 rim fire.

LOL.  I felt that way about the Marauder.  It was too quiet.  Must be something wrong with it.  LOL.

I don't have a decibel meter to gauge how loud the Disco is with and without a TKO, but it is night and day.  Houses are on both sides and behind, and the neighbors don't have a clue.  Shots are taken from the kid's playhouse (sniper style) and the target has a huge oak tree behind for the back stop.  Given the amount of space, you won't have any issue w/sound.

I've been given a $500 gift card to Gander Mountain, and I'm eyeing a Benjamin Discovery in .22-cal.

I've read here that they can be fairly loud without a TKO on them, and I'm wondering just how much does the TKO reduce the report?  I have a Benjamin Trail NP with the integral barrel suppressor, and it is pretty quiet.  Would a TKO-equipped Disco be in the same ballpark?  Does it make it quiet enough to comfortably shoot in a backyard without disturbing the neighbors?

I have used several rifles such as the Disco with a TKO break and it will bring the noise down to a very quiet neighbor friendly rifle. I have only used the 7.5" breaks.. Good luck.

the disco does not break the sound barrier so the TKO  will work very well. my disco 22 is not loud at all with no TKO on it and I have neighbors 50 ft away. I say this if your neighbors are so close they complain about a stock disco then you are to close to them to be firing a rifle with the relative power of a disco

I have close to 5 acres and I wouldn't shoot without the TKO on a disco.  Just saying.

that will not help a stray shot having a TKO. that is what I was talking about. if people complain about the noise of a stock disco  then you are to close to fire any disco TKO or not.
