Crosman Custom Shop CO2 Carbine Questions.

My 2250 when stock on co2 would take down grackles and squirrels out to about 20 yds with ease. I convertaed mine to pcp and now its kicking out 14.66 gr pellets at twice the fpe. I ised a hipax conversion, awesome kit! They are super easy to work on. The ball and spring for the trigger safety is the most challanging part just because they are tiny and i didnt see where they fell out of. The guys here will walk you through anything you can run into which isnt much with these guns.

Alright that was quick!!! Is there 11mm dovetails on it to attach a scope?

Yes the custom shop has the steel breech with 11mm dovetails.

The stock pistol that you can buy at the retailers has a plastic breech with no provisions for scope mounting.

They run on regular CO2 Carts, and also i dont think it comes withb a rear sight, so be prepared.

I know for use the Crosman steel breech you buy seperatly does not have any way to secure the stock rear sight.  This was one of the main beneifts to ordering the Crooked Bard version of the breech.  I'm not sure if the custom shop version has a rear sight or not.  But the Custom Shop offers the MIM rear sight.  or the williams, that will fir on the dovetails.

The guns will go 550 FPS in stock form and with a Power prep 600 is no problem at all making it a 10 fpe plus gun. They can be really accurate guns and there are lots of dodads you can add.
My most popular CO2 gun is the LD Light. That is a 2240 with 14", Gen II Brake, Power Prep accuracy prep 14" .22 and the Steel Breech. It is $160 t do this work to a Customers gun and $220 to buy the gun outright.
To have a gun tuned that already has the Steel breech and long barrel it costs $110. $50 for Acc & Power tunes and $60 for Gen II Brake.
With the extended Bolt Probe and sweet trigger you are good out to 35-40 yards if you can do your part.
MOST IMPORTANT ON ALL DAN AND CROSMAN CO2 GUNS!
Do not overtioghten cap. YOU ARE NOT PIERCING CO2. The first shot pierces the CO2 and if you crank the cap man tight you will lose all sorts of power and shorten the lifespan of the face seal dramatically.
If a 6 year old girl can get it tight enuf you can imagine how overtight you can get it.

It is comfortable. The cheek weld is a bit low, but there are cheap clamp on cheek pieces or you could add a piece of pipe foam Luke I did in the pic. That made it much more comfy for me. The 14.6 makes it a nice short carbine. The 18" will give you a few more fps. If I had it to do over, I would stick with the 14.6".  It's nice and compact with that barrel.

Bradyman: Other than the trigger-shoe option, I have never been able to figure out what (if anything) Cros custom shop does to the 22XX triggers? Do they actually get into the trigger assembly and do work?

should do the job if you keep shots at a decent range.  I love my 2240 carbine, pretty much all i shoot now. the valve was modded from the guy i ordered from as well as poly modded.  added a hi pac to it and shoot it at 2400 psi.  guns awsome!!!!  so many mods that can be done to them.  im still not done modding it yet

Yep, I've already droped $150 into a $50 gun, and have yet to buy the Brake $44, Power adjuster$8, custom Steel knob up front $25, new bolt handle $10, stock $30, Scope and mount $60.  So you can easly make a $400 gun out a 2240.  I would have almost been to a Sumatra .25

Yes. They put an over travel screw on the trigger frame, an adjustable spring guide, and I think the spring is also a little lighter. I have a 1377 ( it had the same trigger frame) and the 2400 has a smoother, lighter trigger. My 2400kt is my most accurate gun.

i stopped counting how much i have in it. alot of parts i bought i dont even use since i switched it to HPI.  Still have about $200 im going to put into it. going to bulk fill it and going to order a leapers bug buster 3-9 (its barrowing the m rods scope right now)    cant wait to get those parts ordered and play around some more.   im sure ill add more after that though. to many cools things you can do with these guns
